Hallvarður Ásgeirsson (icelandic, b.1976) is a composer working with instrumental classical composition, electro acoustic media and interactive electronics. He is also a performing electric guitarist, employing interactive sound processing. Hallvarðurs work falls roughly into two categories - doomed drone classical composition, electro acoustic music using found sounds mixed with ambient/ethereal musical elements and electronic guitar music, using the guitar as a starting point for electronic processing and sound shaping.
