Halon

Halon is a band that has its roots planted back in 2006 when Robby Robinson, James Robinson and Robert Rathunde started putting together original tunes in hopes of one day recording and playing out. They wrote music and played music together for about a year. Then life started to get in the way and they could not continue with their efforts.

Fast forward about 4 1/2 years to September 2010. Life situations had changed and once again the three decided to go ahead and start working together. This time with a much more serious approach and with the goal of "making it" in the industry. James Robinson had some rough original ideas they started working with. After about a month of working together and polishing the rough ideas they started looking for other musicians. They wanted like-minded, career oriented musicians with the skill and desire to play the style of music that James (lead singer), Robert (Drummer), and Robby (writer/ manager) were putting together. This was not an easy task but after 4 months of searching they found Alex Nambo (lead guitar). Alex was also in search of the same qualities in other players and wanted to make a career of his music.

Halon just finished a self-recorded and produced EP. At this point, Halon is a working name. They hope to find a name that fully represents them with a true meaning behind it. All of the members of Halon have a solid Christian background and try to portray that through their music. The overall goal for Halon is to be a positive influence on anyone who listens.

Halon has a style that is unique, to say the least. They mix aspects from the classics sounds of arena rock they all grew up listening to with the sound of today’s rock music. Real singing with harmonies, “old school” guitar riffs and hard driving rock and roll are all words that describe their music. Unlike many of today’s rock artists, Halon will bring a positive approach to the music scene. They hope their style and message will make a lasting impact.
