"Holliewood to revive Rap-Rock!"

Holliewood is destined to make crowds jump, dance, and mosh all over. “Let Me Rock,” a rock band-name checking anthem designed for arenas, is driven by muted synth guitar riffs, open hi-hat thrashing, and H. Wood’s undeniably fiery lyricism. - URB Magazine Online

Bio

Walking into the room sporting white “Beats By Dre” headphones, a cut off jean jacket and finger-less leather biker gloves, Hollie Wood also known as H., immediately attracts the attention of the room. He quietly takes to the middle of the floor before projecting a surprisingly deep baritone, “How’s everybody doing tonight?” Hollie Wood has arrived!

Hollie Wood, a Brooklyn native, is an independent artist who is always looking for innovative ways to express his creativity. Hollie Wood’s exposure to the public is quite impressive and widespread. Hollie Wood has been Rocawear.com’s “Who’s Next Spotlight Artist,” he is also the only artist listed on their twitter page as their favorite up and coming artist. He has been featured on BET’s Rap City. He co-wrote and is featured on French band Playground’s single “Pretty Face”, a single featured on the band’s album “Nightology,” which went gold in France.

Hollie Wood is also no stranger to the stage; he has performed at notable NYC venues including, BB Kings, Knitting Factory, Brooklyn Bowl, Public Assembly, Crash Mansion, South Paw, and Sidewalk Cafe.

Hollie Wood can also handle large crowds. He was a featured performer at Howard University’s Midnight Madness (audience of 3,000) and a featured performer at Hampton University’s Spring Fest. Hollie Wood returned to the Howard University stage, along with Young Jeezy, at their annual Yard Fest (audience of 10,000), which in the past has included performers such as Jay-Z, Kanye West, Notorious BIG, and Rick Ross.

Giving back to the community is also important to Hollie Wood. He, along with artist, Joie, formed an organization called “Take A Stand Campaign (TASC).” TASC has traveled to 20+ schools in NY teaching kids to be more tolerant of other people’s differences and teaching all to stand up against any type of injustice, particularly bullying and racism.

Hollie Wood is a winner, having won twice at NY’s top hip hop showcase, Faces in the Crowd, which includes top music industry judges from Universal, Sony, and top management companies! Hollie Wood has also gotten several spins on NY’s Power 105.1 FM. Magazines and blogs have covered him including: URB Magazine Online, I Think I Love It, Drahma Magazine, Rap Fanatic Magazine, and Sonicbids.com.

Hollie Wood’s latest venture is as host of Hollie Wood & Friends on Hampton Blu Radio. Hollie Wood, along with his co-hosts Venor (Apollo Live) and MJ, have interviewed some of the hottest up and coming artists in the New York area, as well as designers B. Gold (50 Cent) and photographer Dirty Souf Yankee. His biggest interview to date was with Lil’ Mama, which was featured on top urban blogs and websites, such as: Vibe.com, Global Grind, Bossip, Concrete Loop, That Grape Juice, Hot 97 and more!
