Hana Piranha

Hana Piranha was born during a hurricane in Wellington, New Zealand as the result of a scandalous affair between a Catholic priest and a young woman half his age. Beginning violin and piano lessons aged three, Hana later moved to England where she received a scholarship to study at the Purcell School of Music. However in her late teens, the seductive powers of rock 'n' roll kicked in and the result of this is the music you are hearing now.

As the guitarist, Ben "The Skyscraper" Ridge is responsible for all the chugs and squeals in Hana Piranha.
After leaving Swindon and studying Commercial Music Performance at University of Westminster, this thrashically trained 22 year old guitarist fills his time apart from the band as a full time composer/sound designer for online games.

Bassist Zaruf Ezhan brings his cool, sexy Malaysian vibe to the band. He arrived in London in 2009 to study media and arts and to see his rock idols in concert. Known for his love of 80s and 90s music, he plays with a pop touch and punk rock intensity. Zaruf also sings and play guitar for powerpop band Little Planets, together with Martin and Ben.

Drummer Martin Woodward 's preference of high energy rock music comes out through his hard-hitting style. Having played some renowned venues around the country at the age of 21, his experience lays down a valuable foundation for the band.
