Hand Grenade, a garage band at heart, actually started inside the garage. We're four friends who decided one day that we had something to offer the music scene. Instead of commiting ourselves to some emotional charged genre, we decided to stay true to old school rock n roll roots. Loud riffs, booming drums, catchy lyrics, and an addiction to ass-shaking, drives Hand Grenade. Influences include, Queens of the Stone Age, Prince, Eagles of Death Metal, with maybe a squirt of old school weezer and the pixies. This band doesn't aim to push our drama or emotional turmoil into anyones brain. We came here to rock and thats exactly what we'll do.
Hand Grenade has now been a band for over 2 and a half years and they are on their way to what they always wanted to do. Show the whole world what rockin and rollin is all about! There song "Boogie Man" was featured on the FMQB Specialty Sampler as well as Brian McKenzies Music Factory Compilation.Hand Grenade also signed a distribution deal with Warden Records/EMI to release their first EP "Sexplosion" in February to help tease and promote their Debut Album "Hot Pants, Cold Nights!" Which was recently released on May 5th, 2009! Cinco De Hand Grenade!
Hand Grenade has toured up and down the east coast, but is now ready to bring their live show antics across the globe! They have shared the stage with such National Acts as Pennywise, Strung Out, Authority Zero, The Supersuckers, Rehab, Wheatus, Sum 41, Agent Orange, The Expendables, SAVAS, Frank Turner, and more...
