"Handsome Bob" Bridges is a performer with over 40 years experience as an entertainer, sideman, singer, guitarist, bassplayer, and songwriter.
In the last year I have become the quintessential chameleon. I have always been a singer/songmaker-upper, and performed my original material in taverns, coffee houses, bars, and festivals.
This past June I started adding popular classic rock, folk, pop cover songs.I have even even added little sprinklings of jazz and country to my repertoire. The results has been a dramatic increase in booking and most importantly funfor me and the audience!!
I am just as comfortable and adept playing quite, mellow background music as cranking it up and rocking the house, leading singalongs of rock anthems, or telling stories and holding the attention of a listening audience.
Many nights I still wear the hat of a performing songwriter, playing songs from my upcoming CD release as well as tunes that I have written for other artists. These, for the most part are venues that I have played somewhat regularly for a number of years such as Anderson Fair and McGonigel's Mucky Duck.
I am flexible and can provide whatever mood is required by the venue management. I feel it's very important to maintain a high level of professionalism at all times and I strive always to be on-time, have great sound, and be prepared for any emergencies or equipment break downs or malfunctions that may occur.
I love to play music and bring joy to whoever is in attendance, so I appreciate your time and consideration as a potential performer at your venue.
