"The Music League"

The first Music League representative to see action tonight is Hannah and the Heartbreak. Hannah over the next six songs sings so effortlessly that one cannot help but take a step back and realise that this is what all those X-Factor contestants think they sound like. Taking their musical cues from the soul sounds of the past this act know their stuff; barely a note is played in the wrong place and the taut rhythms give the perfect platform for Hannah's big, engaging voice. When she sings "Our love is so hot it melts the snow" you're completely taken in by her not stood bemoaning any kind of corny sentiment into your pint. "The Gate" stands out as usual and is the perfect accompaniment to a hot night out in the summer sun.

Bio

Hannah And The Heartbreak was formed from the Collaboration of Hannah Bristow and Levi Szendro. It began with Hannah Bristow who has been a singer and songwriter for almost ten years, with music being one of her earliest passions..

Having listened to Carole King, Aretha Franklin and Roberta Flack from an early age, Hannah first showcased her voice in a debut gig at the age of 16, supporting the famous songwriter Roger Cook, whose songs have been recorded by prominent artists such as Elton John and Deep Purple. Hannah later visited Roger in his hometown in Nashville, where she first indulged in the world of professional musicianship by being introduced to BMI and ASCAP.

Hannah is a part of the vibrant warehouse scene in North London, Known as 'The Manor', a hub for musicians and artists. She has already shared the stage with Roger Cook, Keane and Martina Toplay Bird, And was recently featured on 'AmazingRadio.com' as the artist to watch for 2010

" The Gate, is amazing...its an absolute smash!!"

Hannah's rich, distinctive voice infused with folk and soul elements are combined with the talents of Levi Szendro, a graduate in contemporary percussion and piano. Together they have created infectious, unforgettable tunes, with witty, poignant lyrics and singalong choruses.
