Hannah-Rei is a ubiquitous UK Singer Songwriter who is immersed in Soul, R&B, and Jazz. Having gained her Masters Degree in Songwriting, she writes and co-writes beautifully crafted songs that cross over genres, bringing her unique brand of vocal harmony to Soul Rap, Hiphop and other Urban music forms.
In November 2006 Hannah-Rei won the UK MBF Songwriting Award and in July 2007 she graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Music from Sir Paul McCartney's inspired Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) and in 2008 gained a postgraduate MA in Songwriting from Bath Spa University.
She is a prolific songwriter and has been working closely with several co-writers in addition to performing in London.
She describes her influences as being India Arie, Beyonce, Christina Aguilera, Michael Jackson, John Legend, Rosie Gaines, Prince, Usher, Justin Timberlake, BoyzIIMen, Faith Evans, Brandy, Mariah Carey, Candi Stanton, Amy Winehouse, Roberta Flack, Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, Robin Thicke, Amerie, Joselyn Brown, to name but a few!
One thing is for sure, Hannah-Rei's music not only crosses genres but is enjoyed by people of all ages.
