Hansen has participated in the UK Songwriting Contest and has achieved the following awards:

(1) Finalist position for the instrumental track “Thank You Singapore” or “Thank You” in the UK Songwriting Contest 2010 (at the top 2 per cent of 5000 entries received worldwide). This track is a tribute to Singapore as well as to the world.
(2) Semi-finalist position for the instrumental track “The Bright Star” in the UK Songwriting Contest 2010 (at the top 20 per percent of 5000 entries received worldwide).
(3) Commended entry positions for the few instrumental tracks “Love”, “Fly Away”, “Teach Me How To Live A Life” & “Love is Patient” in the UK Songwriting Contest 2010.
(4) Semi-finalist positions for the 3 songwriting entries namely “Love Will Always Find A Way”, “Glory” & “I Want To Make A Beautiful Place” in UK International Songwriting Competition 2009 (at the top 23 per cent of 6000 entries received worldwide).

The above songs were carefully examined by expert music industry judges and they have awarded Hansen Chew the above awards for participating in the contest in 2009 and 2010 and for contributing to its continued success as a leading international annual songwriting event. The UK Songwriting Contest is held annually in association with The BRIT Trust, The Guild of International Songwriters and Composers, The Song Copyright Organization (SCO) The World Music Foundation, Music Aid International and other music industry bodies.

Hansen has also been selected as a "Suggested Artist" in the September 2009 round of the Song of the Year song and lyric competition. Song of the Year receives entries from all over the world and only those artists whose collective works display consistently noteworthy creativity and talent receive such recognition. Hansen has also been placed as one of December's Top Songwriters in the "Honorable Mention" category which indicates that his material was found impressive and exceptional by a number of the judges. Released over 100 minutes of instrumental music in the album "Love Always Finds A Way" in 2007. Music marketed, manufactured and distributed by Warner Music Singapore Pte Ltd as "Grace" album from 2007. "Grace" album consists of 18 tracks of instrumental music to add colours to this world.

7 of the tracks have been on airplay at the Singapore Changi Airport in 2007/2008. Millions of visitors all over the world have listened to some of my music there on transit to Singapore. In support of Composers and Authors Society of Singapore Ltd (COMPASS) 1st Musical Extravaganza on 11 Nov 2007, the track "I want to make a beautiful place" was screened via a creative video presentation at The Arts House for many local composers. Special thanks and appreciation to Dr Edmund Lam, CEO, Director of COMPASS for making these 2 arrangements possible. Thank you also for your encouraging comment that my creative video presentation that featured my original masterpiece composition "I want to make a beautiful place" was exhilarating and has captivated the full house audience.

It is a joy to share my music with everyone. Love is the reason I write and share my music. The music is instrumental with sweet melodies. Music is harmony. Please let this universal language tells the following beautiful story and message to the world.
