Bio

Born, and raised in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn, New York. H.A.P.H. (Half Animal Part Human) was given birth as Nigel Le Guerre to parents of the West Indies island of Trinidad & Tobago.

His odyssey began the very moment he laid hands on his mother’s old phonograph record player for the first time. With countless hours of practice, and a few broken needles, his passion for rubbing vinyl was born. With 15” woofers, and the repetition of the same song playing over & over, he literally drove the household crazy. What began as a kid merely disturbing the peace, suddenly lead to to a full time hobby, and a part time job as the neighborhood’s go to guy for rocking local basement & house parties.

Although, the turntables were the founding base, it wasn’t until H.A.P.H. discovered the power of expression in reciting the first rhyme he had written about his childhood girlfriend, that he had found the building blocks.

In the mid nineties he got together with two other homies from the neighborhood. (J- Runnah & Wais) Collectively the three made up the rap group amply known as "THE RANJAHZ". In 1996 the group inked a single deal, and released their debut “Street Life”/ “Daily Basis” with Profile Records. In 1998 the group landed a guest appearance on Jay-z's Hard Knock Life. Vol-2, track titled: "If I Should Die". In 1999 they appeared on Memphis Bleek's debut album Coming of Age, track titled: “N.O.W.” that was also produced by H.A.P.H. In 2000 the group went on to ink their first album deal with "Carter Faculty/DEF JAM" records. Although, the label bared the last name of it’s counterpart, it’s daily operation(s) were overseen by associates. Due to poor administration the group stepped away from the label, which later collapsed. In 2003 THE RANJAHZ had signed an independent deal, and finally released an album titled: WHO FEELS IT KNOWS, that featured the underground classic titled: “Inspiration” featuring Cee-Lo Green of Gnarls Barkley, and produced by Dj Premier.

Heavily influenced, and deeply inspired by every genre of music from blues to reggae to rock, H.A.P.H. is not only determined, but insist on continuing his relentless approach to not only turn a page in Hip Hop's history, but to write a page of his own. He has since set out to pursue a solo career. Beneath the surface of this Brooklyn native rapper dude lies a self taught guitarist, writer, producer, arranger and studio engineer with an agenda of his own. After having been virtually forced to master his craft due to a politically driven music business,
not only did he develop into an all around artist, but his experience has made him an excellent instrument in artist development.

In 2007, with just a home studio, and a burning desire to win H.A.P.H. released a mixtape titled: BOTTUM UP VOL -1.0, the first of his three following solo projects. In 2008, while many were busy keeping up with the trends, he returned into the studio to record, and released another gritty, underground mixtape titled: THE PURGE. In 2009, just two months after the release of his digital album titled: THE EPITOME, H.A.P.H. was struck by two bullets at a backyard party in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

Barely escaping with his life, after nine months of rehab, some physical but, more mental scars than anything else. H.A.P.H. has been focused on picking up the pieces, and putting his life back together. In doing so, he has been gearing up to release the new album on his newly signed deal with the independent company Imperial Alliance Media titled: Martin Luther Manson. In which he expresses raw, vigorous lyrics of his fight between good, and evil. Right, and wrong. Angels, and demons. The first single titled: “The Realest (doing it)” featuring Jareem Lloyd is currently out now, and is growing legs of it’s own.
