Feeling a bit camera shy

In 2015, guitarist Robert Johnson and bass player Randall Dyer met in a local area band they were both a part of. Neither one cared for the music they were playing, and wanted to create something different, so there, in that moment, they started the journey to what later became known as Harbor The Sun. Bobby and Randall had an idea in mind to combine heavy, jazzy, and progressive elements to form a perfect mixture to their songs, and hence began the writing process. After 3 years of writing and trying out different musicians along the way, the 5 songs that you can now hear on the Aurora EP were written. Bobby and Randall first found guitarist Joshua Page. Josh came in and added his feel on the songs. Next, screamer Luke Metcalf was found, and finally vocals began to be tracked. After some life altering events, Joshua Page decided to leave the band, so HTS was on the lookout for a replacement. After several tryouts, Dean Dagner came in to fill the slot, but not before drummer Ross Vaughn came in and added his own pop and sizzle on these tracks. After answering an add on Facebook and many auditions later, clean singer Ricky Lee Barron was found and later introduced as the second front-man of the band.  In the midst of all this, bassist Randall Dyer decided to leave the band due to personal reasons. So, now, despite all the setbacks and unforeseen circumstances, as a five piece, HTS continues to "burn with a passion" on a never ending search for that perfect blend of heaviness and melody. Dropping their first lyric video to their single "Pathfinder," which was quickly followed by the release of their EP, Aurora on December 21st, 2018. Aurora, was mixed and mastered by Nicolas Delestrade of the progressive metal band Novelists. Their first time to take the stage as a band, was opening up for national touring act Silent Planet. With cool jazzy leads, to some heavy djent riffs, HTS is definitely a band on the rise and one you should keep on your radar!
