Hardlines are an up and coming band from the town of London. They strive to be something bigger, meaner and more experimental in sound...
Now cut down to a three piece line-up - Jack, Guitar/Voice, Adam, Bass/Guitar/Voice, Dave - Drums - their sound combines elements of rock, punk, folk and pop and about as much sonic experimentation that an infectious and punchy song allows! The band are not an easy proposition to pidgeon hole by any means, but if classifications must... nu-punk/rock would be the most accurate definition of this neat little bundle.
The boys are now backed by Downtown Artists, an artist management company based at London’s Soho, who have given them an opportunity to record a debut single in ‘Fakers’, due for release early 2011 with EP 'This Big Idea', to follow shortly after.
Taking standard rock sensibilities from legends: The Clash, Hendrix, Led Zep and Cream, whilst drawing modern influence from broader contemporaries such as QOTSA, Bloc Party, Muse, Manics and Blood Red Shoes and their electronic experimental side from leftfield artists Daft Punk, New Order and Deadmau5. HardLines are honing their own classic sound that will hopefully stand the test of time!
With a seriously busy 2011 gigging schedule, the new year promises to bring new material, festivals, prestigious support slots and hopefully an album
