"Few people know that the two brothers are bound for stardom."

Few people know that the two brothers are bound for stardom. Their sound is something you’ve never heard before: It’s not Eminem, it’s not rap, it’s not Beastie Boys, it’s not rock, it’s not System Of A Down. Maybe if you threw all that together you might get HARDNOX, but probably not. Whether you prefer rap or rock, their music is original and very unique. I feel that anyone who comes into the music world with originality at this point deserves our hearing.

"Who needs a band to put together a big sound?"

Who needs a band to put together a big sound? Dan and Jim Kehoe are two brothers from Concord who decided to put together a dance/hip-hop production company that’s taking off like crazy. Techno sounds fly from every direction, around raps from the brothers that serve as the project’s real juice. Everything on the seriously professional record comes straight from the Kehoes.

"Who says you need to be industry veterans to run a successful production company?"

Who says you need to be industry veterans to run a successful production company? Since setting up shop they’ve landed prestigious accounts such as San Francisco 49ers and the NFL’s E2k Sports. The duo’s music has been featured at the Pro Bowl, the Detroit Lions Thanksgiving day shows, Seattle Seahawks’ Christmas halftime show, the East/West Shrine game, Dan Marino’s retirement celebration at Pro Player Stadium in Miami….

"Concord Brothers Making Music Outside The Box"

Carbon Copies. Far too many times you hear these words associated with artists in the entertainment world, especially when it comes to musicians. How many times have you heard something on the radio and said "oh this sounds like so and so." The search for something fresh and exciting in the world of music often ends in dissappointment. But just when you thought all hope was lost, a light at the end of the tunnel appears.

HardNox appears to be that light at the end of the dark tunnel... - COVER of Geared Out Magazine (Jan 2005)

"HardNox Live @ Club Avalon"

We wrote about them first. Just remember that when Dan and Jim Kehoe make HardNox a household name. You saw them in the pages of Geared Out and then all of a sudden they began making red carpet appearances. Some could argue that Geared Out had something to do with it. OK, maybe it will only be me making that argument. But the truth be told HardNox is destined for fame and fortune. I guess that is why Sacramento's Club Avalon decided to have HardNox be their very first live performance.

I had the opportunity to meet Dan and Jim at Avalon prior to them taking the stage. They were sitting and relaxing in one of the clubs VIPs enjoying DJ Pat Allen's turntable skills. You would never think they would be performing in just an hour. I couldn't see one sign of nervousness, and I thought to myself these guys either have a hell of a poker face or they are ready. When they finally took the stage it was clear...they were ready.

Them HardNox boys tore it up. And when they got to their last song of the night, White Girl, they had every white female in the joint bouncing. Girls were even on stage shaking their thing. Every woman in the house would have been on stage if security didn't cut it off.

The only negative I could find with their performance was that it was too short. They did three tracks from their new CD titled "Garage Sale," and they were done. If you are one of the fortunate people to have heard their whole CD I think you would be a little disappointed too. Hopefully, next time they come through Sacramento they will have more time.

I want to thank Jason with Avalon, and Dan and Jim Kehoe of HardNox for inviting me to da club.

“I’ve never heard so much sound come from two guys!” declared another new fan after seeing HardNox light up the stage at Boise State University. The duo, comprised of artist/songwriter/production team – and brothers – Danny Boy and Jimbo, just finished stage diving into the college crowd of thousands. Tonight was just another crazy, animated show by the brothers who live to perform.

In a polluted music business full of manufactured teen pop stars, cloned rock bands, and bland rappers, the music industry is in need of something new and fresh – and HardNox is that breath of fresh air. Their sound is nearly unclassified, with a unique blend of hip-hop, rock, pop, and punk: it’s not just music, it’s an experience. Push play on any HardNox track and you will never expect what you hear. Just ask the students at Boise State and millions of others all over the country who’ve discovered HardNox.

Before signing to the major label Blackground/Universal Records in April 2008, HardNox began their music careers as DJs in the Bay Area of California. For nearly seven years Danny Boy and Jimbo were DJ favorites at middle schools, high schools, colleges, weddings, etc. They credit their DJing for establishing them as producers and artists: they knew what type of music moved crowds and which ones fell flat. So after years of spinning the same old songs, they were inspired to push their creativity to new levels and rock the house with their own material. Working out of their own garage studio (remember when musicians actually started in garages?...the good ‘ol days), HardNox has produced a solid list of albums including "Garage Sale" and “I Go Dumb Off This Heavy Metal”, and guest appeared on mixes such as "Keak Da Sneak Presents: Dopegame 2" and "DJ Juice Presents: Best of the Bay Vol 3".

The major label act has already been heard on Rhythm and Top 40 radio worldwide and been enlisted by major corporations such as Verizon Wireless to record and produce one of their most recent critically acclaimed commercials for the Samsung “Juke” phone. Soon after the commercial’s success, HardNox released their hit single “She’d Rather Be With The DJ” and the song is being played all over the country on Top 40 radio stations such as Z100 in New York, KLUC in Las Vegas, KSFM in Sacramento, KWYL in Reno, and KSLZ in St. Louis. The single is also tearing up the hottest clubs in Las Vegas, the entertainment capital of the world.

Danny Boy and Jimbo represent a do-it-yourself work ethic that never shuts off. The duo credit their tenacity and relentless perseverance to the De La Salle High School football program (Concord, CA). Both Danny Boy and Jimbo played for the De La Salle Spartans while attending school and have maintained the diligence and determination that went into being a Spartan player and carried it into the music business. So it’s no surprise that when HardNox is not on the road promoting and performing, they’re at home in Concord, CA making new music in their garage. The brothers produce, write, record, mix, and master all their material, which ranks them in the gifted few in the music industry. Hardnox has shared the stage with Nelly, Ashanti, Cherish, Baby Bash, Danity Kane, Chamillionaire, Lit, Christina Milian, Bubba Sparxxx, Rick Ross, E-40, Bone Thugs n Harmony, Amerie, The cast of Laguna Beach, Playboy and many more. Jermaine Dupri, hip-hop mogul and powerhouse, has dubbed Hardnox “the next Beastie Boys.” Others have related them to The Offspring, Eminem, Linkin Park, and Lil Jon, all in which have little in common making Hardnox a musical entity of their own genre. They are HardNox, and you are going to be a fan.
