Bio

Kentucky natives, HardTyme Hustlaz, are made up of members Yung Coogi and B. Hanlin. Growing up on the likes of 8Ball & MJG, UGK and Cash Money, it’s only natural that they drew influence from them. The two have been carefully crafting the most poignant of street tales for last the four years and most recently signed to Sta Hongry Records distributed by Guard Up Records/Federal UMG. It all started when Hanlin realized that the very talented Yung Coogi had more to achieve than street fame and after coming home from a stint in “Street School,” Hanlin’s desire to help young men stay out of trouble intensified. He helped Coogi realize the urgency of seizing the moment to channel all of his lyrical talent into some dope music. “There are 2 types of money in the world, the good, honest, clean kind you can count anywhere in the world, or the fast, dirty kind that will have you watching your back and getting no sleep” says Hanlin. Coogi now understood this and decided to “go hard” on this music thing. Fast forward, the HardTyme Hustlaz have rocked stages all over the Midwest, South and the East Coast. Coogi remembers one of those behind the music moments where he really felt like he was a part of something special. “It seems that one thing our fans new and old take from our music is the realness. We want it to really translate and be real; no studio/internet gangsters over here.” Hardtyme Hustlaz decided to trade less embellishments and smoke in mirrors in for real talk, dope beats and deeper rhymes. They are currently maintaining their busy recording schedule at Tha Sta Hongry House aka (Cloud 9) and preparing their concert dates. “In these hard times, you gotta hustle,” says Hanlin; “I just hope the people respect ours.” With this type of drive, real talk and catchy hooks, the HardTyme Hustlaz is prepared to make real music look easy.
