Harley Quinn

BandRockFunk

The unique way that they attack rhythms throughout their songs offer something fresh for the average rock listener

Biography

Harley Quinn has worked with both producer Brian Moncarz (Pilate, the Junction. Silverstien, The Stick Up) and vocal coach Diana Yompolsky (Brian Byrne, Alex Norman (Ill Scarlett) Edwin, Lukas Rossi, Raine Miada) and are currently playing around Toronto. Harley Quinn started when the three members began jamming after their high school jazz band would retreat for the day. They clicked, and before long developed a chemistry that they had never felt before. Although jazz was fun, the band found influences through heavier sounds from artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Smashing Pumpkins, Jane’s Addiction, and Pearl Jam among many others. They made it their mission to make sure every song they wrote was very distinct from the others. They did this by creating moods for the songs, by writing in different keys and allowing for each song to have their own unique edge. They some what subconsciously developed their method of song writing and it continues to evolve today. Harley Quinn have been playing shows on the Toronto circuit for the past two years, using the variety of their song writing to gain a variety of different followers.

Lyrics

Dont Want In

Written By: Billy Iannaci

I could walk the world, but I have trouble finding the right words
Can’t think enough’s, enough, when my cup is half full, wondering what im doin here
But im walking like a military man, with every loose end tucked and a gun in my hand
I’ll be aiming at the man that I am cuz I hate him so, and he’s gotta go
Cuz
He’s got me feeling so low, oh so low, oh so low
Keeps complaining im cold, as if I’ve built my home in the snow, the snow
Maybe I’m built like a military man, won’t trade all my cold for a spot in the sand
When every war zone ends with a Ran or a Stan, I wouldn’t wanna go, can’t bend the days till its mandatory .

And I’ll be there on my own,
On my own
Counting the seconds to go, till the say I could go, oh go home
It costs lots to be a military man, at least my friends and peers pay for the gun in my hand
Cuz every war zone ends with a ran or stan, just not the place to be, I can’t stall the days till its mandatory

I’ll march my way to Mexico
Buy a Sombrero
And hope that they don’t come looking for me
I’ll march my way to Mexico
Buy a Sombrero
And hope that they don’t come looking for me
I’ll march my way to Mexico
Buy a Sombrero
And hope that they don’t come looking for me
I’ll march my way to Mexico
Buy a Sombrero
And hope that they don’t come looking for me

I could walk the world, but I have trouble finding the right words
Can’t think enough’s, enough, when my cup is half full, wondering what im doin here
I did my journey as a military man, made it out and still have both of my feet and both hands
And ill be clapping for the man that I am cuz now I know
Enjoy my days till its mandatory
