Bio

Born to parents who believed their child would have musical ability, it seemed natural that Harmony would foster a relationship with music at an early age. By eight years old, she was writing songs and playing the keyboard. Some years later, Harmony adopted the guitar as her main instrument to accompany her singing and to facilitate her songwriting. Her vocal development was nurtured by early influences such as Madonna, Patsy Cline, and Belinda Carlisle.

Harmony creates a sound that can only be categorized as singer/songwriter. Her eclectic style has hints of familiarity while remaining something that must be heard to be described. The best part about Harmony's music is its appeal to a wide range of listeners. Fans of country/bluegrass music enjoy songs such as "July 16th", "Take It Like a Man", and "Misunderstood". Then you have the bluesy "Carry Me Away", the passionate "Sway", the uplifting "Blue Sky" and the all-out rocking "Lunar Dreams". There is something for everybody.

Though currently based in Louisville Kentucky, Harmony is also actively seeking gigs in areas outside of her hometown. For more than two years, Harmony fronted the band Andy's Kitchen, who played regularly at local venues. Her experiences in the band honed Harmony's live performance skills. She is now developing a solo career and has recently played her first full-length performance at The Rudyard Kipling, a notable venue catering to local and national acts. “Harmony is a beautifully touching and powerful songstress” states Ken Pyle, owner of the Rudyard Kipling.

In just a short time, Harmony has taken large steps toward the advancement of her musical career. With the help of her manager, she has created a website, developed a strong following of devoted fans, and expects to have her debut album finished in a couple of months. The CD will contain eleven original songs out of the more than twenty originals in Harmony's repertoire. Furthermore, she has recently been selected as a showcasing artist for the Nashville New Music Conference scheduled for September of this year. Harmony will also be featured on a compilation cd that will be used to promote the conference. In addition to music conferences, Harmony is also participating in several songwriting competitions and festivals. The singer/songwriter is looking forward to the many new and exciting musical experiences that lie ahead of her.
