Classically trained, Erica studied at the prestigious Musichochschule in Vienna, Austria after completing her Bachelor's Degree of Music in Harp at Valdosta State University where she studied with Mary Brigid Roman. She began playing at age seven, performing with orchestras and chamber ensembles and has now progressed into pop covers and new age music. Erica is an experienced, professional and seasoned performer. Erica is one of the only harpists that also sings, providing an interesting option for background music with the harp, or the versatility to move front and center with her soothing and strong vocal arrangements. Erica is an active member of ASCAP and has composed many pieces for the harp.
Erica has several harps, including a small one for intimate and personal settings and a rare, antique gold concert harp "Goldie" for larger audiences and concerts. Erica performs Nationally as a soloist and is involved in many music projects in the Bay Area and is available for lessons in her studio, at several music school or by Skype. Erica also enjoys conducting harp educational tours at local public and private schools. Please contact her for more information. In addition, Erica is a member of the American Harp Society, the Music Teacher's Association of California, Suzuki Association of the Americas and the San Francisco Folk Music Club. Erica performs as a featured artist for public, private, philanthropic, academic, corporate, and political events. Erica has performed at fashion shows, for political leaders, fundraising dinners and Napa Valley winery events.
