Harris

Harris is a powerful indie rock band based in Boston, Ma. We're young as a band but have all played in bands since our high school days. Starting off strong and building in intensity throughout is the formula of most of our songs, although lately we've started to branch out and experiment with sounds, tempos, and rhythms. Our live show offers everything we can muster at that moment to make it a pleasurable experience for the audience, and it is where we're at our best. We've played all up and down the eastern coastline, and into Canada, but have mainly focused on Massachusetts. Gigs ranging from basements to Downstairs at the Middle East have graced tour roster, and we hope to keep it as diverse as it has been.
Our influences include Pavement, Botch, Drive Like Jehu, At the Drive In, Foo Fighters, Bjork, Ben Folds Five, Beck, and various artists who have been part of the Boston music scene for years such as Cave In, Piebald, and Converge. Anybody who is out there doing their own thing and trying as hard as they can to be the best band they can be is an inspiration to us. We've encountered too many to name.
We started with a unique style and have stayed true to it. We're best friends. We live together. We're dedicated wholeheartedly to what we do as a band, and we believe in ourselves. There isn't anything that anyone could ever say that would make us give up on what we're doing because we're doing it out of love for music. I'm not sure that differs from anyone else who is submitting their music to NEMO, but it is who we are.
