BandRockSinger/Songwriter

High energy rock with catchy melodies influenced by Green Day and many others!

Biography

14-year-old singer/songwriter/guitarist Harrison Ivaz hails from Glenview, IL. and now resides in Vancouver, BC.

One of the few youth acts to be chosen for a spot on the 2012 Lollapalooza Kidzapalooza Stage, Harrison Ivaz is also one of “Hollywood North’s” promising young actors, and has appeared on radio, TV, theater, in "viral videos" and commercials.

Ivaz’s quirky original rock songs fuse influences from classic, alternative, punk and more with humor, sophistication and style.

The son of Chicago’s Dave Ivaz Music bandleader and session guitarist Dave Ivaz and vocalist Julie Boton-Ivaz, Harrison was exposed at an early age to a wide range of music and “sat in” with his parents’ band. His concert vocal debut came at age 9 in Vancouver.

Harrison has also received positive reviews in Vancouver theater and was a semi-finalist in a large regional BC Talent Competition 2 years in a row.

After experiencing bullying in West Vancouver, Harrison wrote his anti-bullying rocker, “Sweet & Sunny”, the first song Harrison submitted to Lollapalooza. Today “Sweet & Sunny” is shared by anti-bullying organizations throughout North America and is at over 25,000 views.

Lyrics

Workaholic

Written By: Harrison Ivaz

Staying up till 1:00
Oh, This nightmare never stops
I wish this world would just end
Cause I have to depend on this blood sucking check
Chorus:
I’ve been diagnosed with workaholic syndrome
I threw my life right out the window
Go away I’m in a working zone.
My life really sucks

Verse 2
Middle class too poor in a day
Just living out my own way
Can’t take me cause I’m all good all I need is a little food
Then I’ll be able to stay
I’ve been diagnosed with workaholic syndrome my life really sucks.
Come and just take me away
To the land of ultimate pay
Come and just take me away
To the land of ultimate pay

Workaholic

Sweet & Sunny

Written By: Harrison Ivaz

Verse 1.

Was it today? Or yesterday?
I took my time to decide all the un-important things inside and you were there
I’m just a child who’s going wild
For his chance to be free and all he had to do was follow me, that’s what I see

Chorus: Bite my lip and close away.
See the light on a sweet and sunny day.
You were to close to satisfaction.
Might’ve caused a mental chain reaction. Ahhhaa

Verse 2.
Power is fun, till you were done. I’d broke away, I’d run and I was washed up in the sun, hope isn’t gone.
Little boy and little man. Little boy hit the can and I, I could’ve had help from my friends but they ran.

Chorus: Bite my lip and close away.
See the light on a sweet and sunny day.
You were to close to satisfaction.
Might’ve caused a mental chain reaction. Ahhhaa
Guitar
Solo
Felt you coming, felt it come. All the pain it weighed a ton. Please tell me why, I’m in a lie. I’m only telling the truth in a cry.

Chorus: Bite my lip and close away.
See the light on a sweet and sunny day.
You were to close to satisfaction.
Might’ve caused a mental chain reaction. Ahhhaa
Ahhhaa (x2)
A sweet and a sunny man, he can do whatever he can.
