Singer/songwriter Harrison Ray proves that going against the grain can indeed result in something beautiful and inspiring. His often vague lyrics and carefree songwriting approach allow the listener to make the songs their own. Growing up in a very small town in South Carolina, Harrison began making music very early on about life in the country that most artist can only imagine. Armed with an unusual sense of humor and a vivid imagination, Harrison's live shows are often filled with bizarre stories that captivate an audience. The new record "el paraguas" was written over a 2 year span,and features Wally Reddington (explorers club/dead oceans) on bass duties and drums. A follow up e.p is already in the works due out at the end of summer 2011. Harrison has shared the stage with many well known artist such as: The Romantics,Vetiver,The Explorers Club,Cary Ann Hearst,Elf Power,Sara Lee Gutherie and Johnny Irions,Kid Dakota,Black-eyed snakes(Alan Sparhawk),Denali,and The Clientèle just to name a few. Currently unsigned.
