Bio

Harry Oakwood are a Rock and Roll band. They blend the authenticity of The Band in all it's Last Waltz heyday with the introspective intensity of Neil Young and Fleetwood Mac. Soaring three part harmonies, accomplished musicianship and inspiring songwriting serve this London based band well when they deliver live performances of a gravity not often seen.

After quickly turning their monthly night into a sell out event, Tim Minchin came to see them and promptly chose them as his support act advising his half a million twitter followers "If you get the chance to see Harry Oakwood, take it".
Phantom Limb echo Minchin's sentiments and defer to Harry's men as their chosen support act explaining "finally we have a band we really appreciate to support us".
Americana-uk said of their last PL show: "Whoever was responsible for booking the support band Harry Oakwood deserves special praise. Their Band/Felice Brothers swagger complimented the soulfulness of Phantom Limb perfectly and their E.P. is pretty damn good as well."

Irwin Sparkes of The Hoosiers is convinced that Harry Oakwood is "THE most important band in London/music right now".

This fast growing reputation for their must see shows prompted one of the UK's most notable orchestras, Aurora Orchestra, to invite them to perform live on BBC Radio 3 with bespoke orchestral treatments of HO songs by Auroras arranger Iain Farrington.

As a consequence an additional flurry of upcoming radio performances is set to further expand their fast growing fan base.

With their E.P. receiving over 20 rave reviews, Harry Oakwood are soon to be in the studio to record their debut album (set for release early next year), recording in the traditional way on to two inch tape at the famous Konk Studios. This promises to capture the spirit of their exceptional live show.
