Bio

A native of Athens Georgia, Hart's recent performance highlights include solo performances featuring the tenor saxophone and electronics at the 2011 Mount Vernon FlowerMart (Baltimore, Maryland), TahCha Tea House (part of Classical Revolution-ATL 2011 series), Goat Farm (part of the Eyedrum Contemporary Arts Series-Atlanta, Georgia), and the Cine Theater/Bar (Athens, Georgia).

This season Hart is releasing his first solo saxophone album, Minimalism and the Saxophone; featuring works by such American composers as Philip Glass, Marc Mellits, David Marc Alterman, Viet Cuong, and Joesph Waters. Additional season highlights include solo performances at the 2012 International Saxophone Symposium (at George Mason University), community outreach saxophone clinics throughout Atlanta public schools, and a solo tour with stops in Atlanta GA, Chapel Hill NC, Washington DC, and Baltimore MD.

Hart has obtained a Master of Music in Saxophone Performance from the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University, Bachelor of Music in Saxophone Performance from Ithaca College, and a High School Diploma from the North Carolina School of the Arts.

Hart Linker currently serves as a private saxophone instructor and clinician at Carere Music, Inc in Atlanta, Georgia.
