Harvey Castle formed in New Orleans in 2007 when long-time jam buddies Myk Brunette and Joshua Richoux teamed up to turn out hard rocking, blues inspired, distinctive, and soulful tunes. From the roots of his solo project, aptly dubbed ‘JR,’ Joshua assembled the most talented, experienced musicians he could, in order to generate the signature sound that only Harvey Castle was able to produce.
As of the Spring of 2009 JR has finished recording his first album, entitled "Dropped". While the style of his music is remaining true to form, JR continues to mature, write new material, and perform more than ever. From open mic nights to solo acoustic shows, JR is garnering more support and bigger crowds with each live performance. Come support local acts like Harvey Castle, every Wednesday night at the North Gate Tavern outside the North Gates of LSU.
