"Super Weekend at the Orpheum"

Though a dismal performance on the field in Detroit, there was a host of action on the main stage Sunday for our final day of preliminary shows in Tampa. The stand outs were The Hat Trick Heroes. These youngsters are veterans from Emergenza 2005, where they had a close call in last years Semi’s. This year they are as tight as any touring group and have all their stage moves down pat. Combine this with 3 part harmonies and you get one great Rock and Roll act. - Emergenza - Nero Fox

"Rock and roll is here to stay"

Rock and roll is here to stat
Rock and roll is the driving force behind three extremely talented Tampa teens.

Meet Mikey Angelo, 16, Santino Rumore, 14 , and Chris Peters, 16. Together they are known as Hat Trick Heroes (HTH), formerly known as Squirrels Gone Wild.

Inspired by such bands as The Who, Dave Matthews Band, Led Zeppelin and Coldplay, HTH describes itself as "retro-influenced, vintage, goose bump giving, hard rock and roll." Like many bands before them, the band decided to switch its name due to member changes and a new focus.

Their spunk and spontaneity have taken them a long way. They have played in various venues throughout the Tampa Bay area including The University of South Florida Sun Dome, The St. Pete Times Forum and the Ford Amphitheater. In addition, their music has been showcased at the South by Southwest Festival in Austin, Texas, and at the National Association of Music Merchants show in Los Angeles.

Balancing school with being musicians doesn't seem to be a problem for these guys. All it takes is teamwork. During the day, they are just like you and me, students. Mikey and Santino go to Sickles High School, and Chris attends Orange Grove Magnet School, both in Tampa. They rehearse on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoons at Paragon Music in Tampa.

"This is what we want to do with our lives - play our music."

"We all have to come together and become one unit," Chris says. HTH is proud of their accomplishments, especially the fact that they write their own lyrics. "We are serious about our music," Chris says. "We write all of our own music."

Mikey says that each member of the band has his own ideas that are brought together when the band jams.
"We wrote a song recently," he says. "Writing an entire album was not easy. But rock has no expectations; it's such a spontaneous art form."

Santino adds, "This is what we want to do with our lives - play our music."
When HTH isn't rehearsing or playing a gig, the members enjoy wakeboarding, boating, skiing and girls. To listen to their music, visit the band's blog at www.myspace.com/hattrickheroes.

Bio

HAT TRICK HEROES are a bloody loud power trio from Tampa, FL, Formed in 2005 by brothers Michealangelo and Santino Rumore, with Christian Peters (Who we might as well say is their brother too, although it's not entirely medically accurate). Distraught with the current trends of modern music, Hat Trick Heroes came together to kill the whiny, half-baked emo music that's parading itself around as modern rock. Declaring "WAR ON EMO", they've set out to bring back the real rock n roll attitude of the 60s and 70s when free love reigned and music had some balls, while still pushing the evolution of music forward into our very new century.

HAT TRICK HEROES debut EP, "IF YOU'RE SCARED, TURN AROUND" was released in November 2006, and it's release was supported with dates including shows at: SXSW, NAMM, The Sun Dome, the St. Pete Times Forum, House of Blues, Janus Landing, Ford Amphitheater, etc. In the summer of 2007, Hat Trick Heroes signed with Combustion Music Nashville and are currently writing and recording a follow up album.
