Bio

Have Fun Dying, from Tulsa, Oklahoma, recall Steve Albini produced Nirvana with a dash of White Stripes. They mask the seriousness of their music with playful irony that some might compare to The Beatles. The tongue in cheek attitude of "Black Church Or No Church" is not too far from the mischevious LSD reference in "Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds" or the idea behind "Back In The U.S.S.R." This places Have Fun Dying not only in the same league as the most influential bands of the last two decades but also alongside the undisputed champions of 20th century pop.

This may seem far fetched to some, but with four albums and an EP already under their belt, Have Fun Dying are exhibiting the kind of creative streak long dead since the insipid 90s shelved the long player in favor of the five month #1 smash.

Frontman Zach Mobley's vocal delivery is somewhere in between Billy Corgan and Marilyn Manson while bassist/pianist Kacie Ogle adds depth, color and shade to the proceedings. New drummer Adam Johnson has reinvigorated the group helping them create some of their most aggressive and streamlined songs ever.

Have Fun Dying have enjoyed continued success through various internet promotions (#1 track of the day at garageband.com ), radio play (on Tulsa's 104.5 The Edge and Oklahoma City's 94.7 The Buzz), local magazines (on the cover of Urban Tulsa Weekly) and nationwide tours. As well as showcases in Los Angeles and at SXSW, Have Fun Dying have had their music placed in a commercial on Direct TV's 101 and have opened up for grunge heroes, The Meat Puppets. Their album's are available on their website, www.havefundying.com.

"The songs are set and to the point... Have Fun Dying definitely have the radio friendly time formats and hooks that will keep some listeners from changing to their favorite pop station." -Mike K, Balls To The Wall Records

"Have Fun Dying is a cancer-curing, panty-wetting, ovary/sperm-obliterating mammoth." - stereo killer.com
