Haven Write

Haven Write's story starts in 1986 when at age 15 his mother gave birth to Joshua Daniel Keuning. He was then adopted in 1988 and took the name Joshua Kyle.Joshua has always been intrigued by music of all kinds and at age 12 was writing rhymes with a childhood friend with the stage name "Before an Image",they recorded several tracks to looped popular beats on cassette tapes,the most memorable being sections from Travis Tritt and Iron Maiden songs.Joshua was then placed in a juvenile lock down facility in Pittsburgh ,PA. He was incarcerated from age 13 to 18 and focused his creative energy on poetry and short stories. When Joshua was released he immediately started putting together music projects but quickly lost motivation ,having been away from society for so long ,he found it difficult to adjust.Around the age of 20 Joshua was introduced to a local Emcee known as "Quote" and Ill League Entertainment.After being taken under Quote's wing Joshua became Haven Write. Haven was featured on several Ill League mix-tapes and projects.Haven continued to work closely with Quote for years,preforming in over 200+ shows and learning vital information about the music business. In 2011 Haven began experimenting with mixing his hip-hop style with live band music.Due to personal conflicts,Haven found it difficult to work around everyone's schedule and went back to working solo.In late 2011 Ill League Entertainment disbanded and Haven continued working on low key solo projects.In 2012 Haven met beat maker Dali Dillinger and worked on several tracks with him.As of 2013 ,Haven records under his co-owned production company "Dark Evangelist Media" and co-owned management/promotion company Unholy Enterprise,and has been able to self -record,produce,and edit,his first EP,and is finally starting to get the attention that he deserves.Haven has been booking a steady flow of live shows and is always willing to preform.
