Bio
HAWKEYE formed in Chicago, Illinois in 2004. At first HAWKEYE was just the recording project of Matthew Bernard Strange. Strange started writing songs and recording them on a 4-track cassette recorder by himself, and some proper demo's at Sound Arts in San Francisco, where Strange lived for a year in 2006-'07 before moving to Portland, Oregon. It was in Portland that Strange formed the project into a . The first year of the band consisted of many many member changes. Strange kept the band together with the help of founding member Nora Murphy Hughes (of Hollow Sidewalks/bass). The second album is due out 8/16.
In the winter of 2009 Matthew started collaborating with:
Jason "Plucky" Anchondo (The Warlocks and Spindrift/Drums)
Travis Hendricks (keyboards),
Trevor Greely (hythm guitar),
Nora Murphy Hughes (Bass).
