Bio

I once had a footy accident in 1998 where I had my head drilled with a Brace and Bit to relieve the blood pressure from my skull so it wouldn't crush my brain. The procedure took place in Ravensthorpe and if you google my name Hayden McGLinn you can read more into the story. When I'm not trying to kill myself on the footy field I'm in the studio every day working and praticing something new or jamming something old. Working in outback Australia on industial pipelines madly writing more songs late at night in my Donga after a hard days slog grinding and buffing pipe.
My music is Acoustic blues/country/folk/reggae/rock
My accomplishments to date are playing in three piece band "THE MYSTERY BETS" and touring south west of WA and a nomination for WAMI song of the year for the country section with "Utes n Dogs". "Tender Heart "which was featured in a real life documentary about "Men Desparately seeking Shiela" on cannell SBS.
My Influences have been from singers and bands such as Slim Dusty, John Williamson, Midnight Oil, to the Sex Pistols, The Church, Metalica, Talking Heads, AC~DC, The Cult, Muddy Waters, The Early Fleetwood Mac with Peter Green, Bill Halley, Chuck Berry, Elvis, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Tom Petty, Buddy Holly, The Stray Cats, Bob Marley, Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, And of late Amy Winehouse, Blue King Brown, The Budos Band, The Cat Empire,
DJ Format, Sharon Jone and the Dapkings.

I'm always happy even when I have the blues, I can sing the blues and feel the blues but dose not mean I have to show the blues. I don't want to create an unhappy environment so I'll stay away from a conflict. That's who I am, I've survived enough to want to expose myself to any more negative situations.
