"Interview: Hayk - Humble Ambitious Young King"

TRANSLATION:

The team's EDGM is proud to present an interview with Hayk , Humble Ambitious Young King . He took his time to respond to us and we. Thank
Young artist who has several singles under his belt, his manager manager FITA , we should hear from him more often from now on.

His style is reminiscent of a Moufy , sometimes serious sound, the rapper who crossed things not always be very happy, but also some bangers. Sought the lyrics and flow that improves with each new release.

Enjoy Hayk on EDGM !

What is your artist name, your real name, your age, ter-ter? :
Hayk , Hayk Kaya , 23, Boston Massachusetts . Born in Istanbul in Turkey , 100% Armenian .

What is your story? :
I was born in Istanbul, Turkey. This is where my ancestors fled during the Genocide that took place in Armenia in 1915 by the Ottoman Empire.
When I was 2 years old, my parents and I immigrated to the United States in search of a better life and freedom.
I make music since I was 14 years old. When I was 18, I started doing this seriously and I released my first project in my 19 years. It is at this point that accident occurred in the downtown Boston that has completely changed me. I was doing the promotion of my project when I'm done beating me, leaving me with a metal plate in his jaw since.
This incident completely gun and I've dropped a little music, I focused on my other passion football.
I've played semi-pro last year in Boston but due to a hip problem I was forced to stop. This is what made ??me take the music.
My father decided to buy a pizzeria in the suburbs of Boston. This is where I met my manager Ryan Fionda (Fist In The Air). It has a lot of connections in the game and pushed me to 110% for me to become the best artist.

What are you doing in life? :
I work at my father's pizzeria.

Favorite rappers? :
Jay-Z, Tupac, 50 Cent, Eminem and Drake.

Favorite producers? :
Dr. Dre, Evo, Mike Will Made It, Lex Luger, and Araab Muzik

Favorite albums? :
Ready To Die by Notorious BIG and Get Rich Or Die Trying 50 Cent

Smoke favorite songs? :
All the sounds of The Weeknd

Weed or alcohol? :
Do smoke do smoke!

Tupac and Biggie? :
Tupac because of how he started music, through poetry, just my style.

Do you know any French rappers? :
Not really, but my favorite is soccer player Thierry Henry.

Cheum most rappers in this game? You can not love everyone. (No Soulja Boy, too easy):
Finally it all depends on your tastes, you can not really judge whether something is good or rotten, it all depends on your interpretation.

When did you start making music? :
When I was 14 years old.

Your influences? :
Tupac, Jay-Z, Lebron James and Albert Einstein.

Last project? :
Haykstar (but you can not find it's super rare!)

Next project? :
I have not decided yet. I boss just to be recognized, give me a name and have the buzz. I feel as albums or mixtapes are not as interesting as that for young people in the game. Just look at the fact that the singles and videos have much more weight to create buzz and to retain an artist you faster.

What would you do if you sold 1 million albums in the first week? :
I would live in Saint-Tropez to rent a yacht for a fucking week. I invite the most chan-pressed Parisian and EDGM whole family to spend quality time with my team!

Featuring what are already planned? :
Only time will tell.

What would have invited you on future projects? :
The Weeknd, 50 Cent, J. Cole, Kendrick Lamar and Yeezy.

Your typical day? :
I wake, Skype with my girlfriend Valeria Orsini, I go to taff, I harassed my manager Snacklord I write fucking bars, and then after the taff to 23h until I go to the studio 3 or 4 in the morning . And I again. It is important for me to be in the studio every day, this is what allows me to progress and discover the style of sounds that I want to do.

Accounts you come to France? :
Of course! The French have the respect of all Armenians in recognizing that genocide took place.

If you have some thing to add:
It will surely be cliche, but I think so. Always remains positive, because at the end of each day you find yourself in the dark. Everything that happens in life happens for a reason, you just have to figure out how to bounce back when something negative happens.
I just want to thank the whole team of Every Day Good Music, as violator of blogs France by far!

A big thank you to Hayk and Ryan Fionda for their time. And soon to release more. IZI. Thanks to Hayk & Ryan Fionda for Their Time. See you soon for some more songs! IZI. - Every Day Good Music (French Music Blog)

"Hayk - Demand Truth (Prod. Paul Cantor)"

Hayk (pronounced hike, @HumbleYoungKing) recently released “Demand Truth,” a rock-infused track produced by all-star producer Paul Cantor. I had the pleasure of meeting Hayk, and I am impressed by his drive and dedication to relevant issues that are globally important, and personally touching. Hayk was born in Turkey as an Armenian, which in itself is interesting if not ironic: even today, there is still an unfortunate abundance of tension between Turks and Armenians, resulting from the Armenian Genocide committed by many Turkish people nearly a century ago.

A current (and under-reported) issue plaguing Hayk’s native country is the presence of protesters and rioters, who are upset over their government’s decision to give the sacred lands of Taksim Square to a shopping mall project. The riots have spread to 78 cities in Turkey, and are continuing to grow. To help spread a little awareness, Hayk has created this record. You can listen to the song below: - Advent Outpost

"The Hip-Hop Dojo [Vol. 12]"

With three straight hits under his belt now, I’m convinced that Hayk truly represents the “The Future” of hip-hop. Check out his latest track which features a fiery hot dubbed out sample of Boy Crisis‘ “Dressed To Digress.” - The Music Ninja

"Hayk - Demand Truth"

Just to clear up some confusion that may be circulating around in your head, Hayk‘s name is pronounced “hike.” The Boston native has been on a constant grind in hope to get his name to the top of the totem pole, and it surely has been paying off. His new single “Demand Truth” is a powerful track which showcases the riots occurring in Turkey right now. The riots started over the proposed development of a shopping plaza on the sacred grounds of Taksim Square. What started as a peaceful demonstration led to violent and brutal opposition by the police force. The disheartening point of all of this is the media coverage has been limited, with the government turning a blind eye. Paul Cantor produced this record for Hayk, and it sounds promising. - Triller Than Most

"Hayk - Demand Truth"

Hayk [Hayk Kaya (Government Name)], out of Watertown, MA, has released his fifth song today titled Demand Truth, produced by Paul Cantor. Demand Truth is a powerful message set around the riots currently occurring in Taksim Square over in Istanbul, Turkey. These riots that are occurring are close to Hayk’s heart because he was born in Istanbul and to see peaceful riots turning violent due to heartless actions by the police and government is heart-wrenching. - OK-Tho

"Hayk - Back Again"

The homie Hayk drops his fourth release titled Back Again produced by EVO Productions. Hayk goes in on this track pocketing the flow perfectly over EVO's dope production. Hayk will be co-headlining in Boston on June 30th. - OK-Tho

"Hayk - The Future"

After a strong buzz from his last single Fly Away, rapper Hayk returns with this dope electronic joint titled The Future produced by EVO. The beat is a flipped sample of Boy Crisis' Dressed To Digress track. - OK-Tho

"Hayk - Fly Away (prod. EVO Productions)"

International rapper Hayk from Turkey, drops his second single titled Fly Away produced by EVO Productions. Hay says this date he dropped this new single is special to him cuz it symbolizes change. - OK-Tho

"Hayk & dFresh - Choices"

Hardworking is an understatement for Boston native Hayk as he’s been releasing records a weekly basis as of late and shows no signs of slowing down. “Choices” is produced by YoYo and sounds great. What’s next for Hayk? Well, no one knows for sure but I have a strong feeling that his choices will lead him to pure success. - Triller Than Most

"Hayk - Back Again"

Hayk has been on his grind mode as of late, and recently gave us his fourth release of the month. On “Back Again” he snags production from EVO once again and totally murks the instrumental. The Boston native plans to make a lot of damage to the industry this summer, and it’s bound to happen especially upon his performance with Devin Miles on June 30th. Keep up to date with Hayk via Facebook and Twitter. - Triller Than Most

"Hayk - The Future"

Hayk is back with his third release in just two weeks, this one being titled “The Future.” EVO sampled Boy Crisis‘ “Dressed To Digress” for this new heat and it sounds glorious. Hit play down yonder and catch up with Hayk on both Facebook and Twitter. - Triller Than Most

"Hayk - Fly Away"

Following the release of “A Sad Song” last week, Boston native Hayk comes through with his second offering entitled “Fly Away.” EVO Productions takes production credits once again as Hayk flows perfectly over the instrumental. - Triller Than Most

"Hayk – Demand Truth (prod. Paul Cantor) [Powerful Track About Turkish Riots]"

It’s hard to find music with a meaning now-a-days. Demand Truth by Hayk offsets my theory. Here’s a powerful track about the riots occurring in Turkey right now. The riots started over the proposed development of a shopping plaza on the sacred grounds of Taksim Square. What started as a peaceful demonstration led to violent and brutal opposition by the police force. The disheartening point of all of this is the media coverage has been limited, with the government turning a blind eye.

Hayk has been proving himself week after week with solid releases. Demand Truth holds dear to his heart because he was born just outside of where these riots are happening right now. Paul Cantor handled the production on this doing an tremendous job with live, tracked instrumentation. Paul is the contributing writer for Billboard, Vibe, XXL, Complex, and many more. And his production credits include everyone from Curren$y to Wu-Tang Clan. Spread this message and bring this to the attention of the mainstream media! - Fist In The Air

"Hayk x dFresh - Choices"

The Humble, Young King, Hayk drops off another smash hit with dFresh, titled Choices. What I like most about Hayk right now is the consistency factor. He’s put out a record week after week now, and you can tell the progression that he’s showing as an artist. YoYo from Laced Boston did an awesome job on the production! Life is all about choices, which path will you choose?

1st and 3rd Verse – dFresh
2nd and 4th Verse – Hayk - Fist In The Air

"Hayk - Back Again [prod. EVO Productions]"

After having three solid releases under his belt, Hayk is back at it with his fourth release in the past month. I’m definitely feeling the laid back feel from the EVO produced production, the chops mixed with the soothing melody created by the violin coincides perfectly with the passion coming out of Hayk’s body. It seems like he is focused on making a dent in the Industry, just needs to continue with this consistency. If you’re in the Boston area on June 30th, Hayk will be co-headlining Tommy Doyle’s in Harvard Square [Pahk The Cah In Havahd Yahd] with Devin Miles. - Fist In The Air

"Hayk - The Future [prod. EVO Productions]"

Is Hayk on the fast track to success? Hayk is currently prepping for his second live performance on June 30th [Boston, MA], in which Hayk is co-headlining with the homie Devin Miles. After coming off a strong release with Fly Away, Hayk releases a dubstep influenced track,The Future, in which EVO flipped the Boy Crisis Dressed To Digress sample (similar to Nero). - Fist In The Air

"Hayk - Fly Away (prod. EVO Productions)"

After going through a very rough year and a half, Hayk is now focused entirely on his music and seeing how far he can take it. Here is Hayk’s second release (released A Sad Song last week), Fly Away, produced by the talented EVO Productions. "Hayk & dFresh - A Sad Song"

Hayk is a 22 year old artist based out of Watertown, MA. He immigrated to the United States when he was 2 years old, being born in Istanbul. His family had escaped the Armenian Genocide from the Ottoman Empire in 1915. They had sought refuge in Istanbul, where his parents were born and eventually where Hayk was born. Hayk‘s birthday is April 24th, the day of the Armenian Genocide and from great pain came light through the birth of Hayk. To symbolize the tragedy they named him Hayk, which means king in Armenian. We’d also like to take this opportunity to introduce you to Hayk, a 22 year old emcee hailing from Watertown, MA. An Armenian refugee, Hayks’ first two singles here serve as his comeback to the rap game after being assaulted while promoting his mixtape in Boston three years ago. It’s a sad story that resulted in the young rapper having to get a metal plate inserted into his jaw, and he details his experiences in both “A Sad Song” and “Fly Away.” - The Music Ninja

"[TMN Premiere] Hayk - Demand Truth (Prod. Paul Cantor)"

The world is a chaotic place. We all know that. These days it seems like there’s widespread civil unrest in all corners of the globe. It takes only a few clicks of your mouse to learn out about issues in countries like Syria, Brazil, Turkey and more. As we sit comfortably in our homes in front of our computers, it’s become easy to disregard the situations around us. For those of us who are uneducated about the issues though, we’re lucky to have guys like Hayk to help remind us exactly why we should “Demand Truth” about these controversies.

Produced by Paul Cantor (writer/editor at AOL Boombox), “Demand Truth” revolves specifically around the current protests in Istanbul that began over the demolition of Taksim Gezi Park by the Turkish government. Born in Istanbul himself, this situation is close to Hayk’s heart, and he seeks to educate us about how exactly it escalated to the violent affair it is now, and provide insight into a crisis that isn’t receiving widespread coverage. While you may not feel an immediate connection to this particular matter, the song’s overall message of taking a stand for yourself against oppression and fighting for your civil liberties is one that should resonate with everybody.

Check out the powerful single above, and look out for more music from the Humble Ambitious Young King in the near future. - The Music Ninja

Bio

Going by his Government name of Hayk, Hayk is an artist with International roots. There is deep meaning behind the name given to him by his parents. Since Hayk was born on the day of the Armenian Genocide (April 24th), the origins contained within the name "Hayk" dates back to the mythological era of Armenian history; Hayk Nahapet was the first King of Armenia. When Hayk was 2 years old, his parents and he packed their bags and settled just outside of Boston, MA, where his musical journey began.

Influenced by Tupac's poetry style of writing, Hayk started writing music at the age of 14. Intrigued by his close friend's brother recording music in a home studio, Hayk had long begged him to get on the mic and create a complete song. Perfecting his writing style as well as his flow, Hayk had decided it was time to create a project to give to the World when he turned 18. After finishing that project at age 19 and set to go full force into promotion, an event happened that would further change his life. Hanging out in Faneuil Hall [Downtown Boston] waiting with his friend for his friend's girlfriend to leave work, five townies had circled around Hayk, brandishing a pistol and proceeding to rob Hayk. During the robbery, Hayk had gotten pistol-whipped, leaving Hayk with a metal plate in his jaw and three veneer teeth.

After the assault, Hayk decided to put down the mic and focus on his other passion, soccer. He fine-tuned his skills and played semi-professionally for a team in Boston. Unfortunately, a knee injury had forced Hayk to hang up the cleats.

In 2013, Hayk inked a management contract with Fionda Managent. Since getting back into music, Hayk has been generating buzz nationally in the states as well as Internationally, primarily France and Turkey.

The sky is the limit for Hayk. Despite facing both hardships and successes consistently throughout life, Hayk always bounces back. Hayk has a fire in his heart, and absolutely demands success.
