Bio

What does Hay Perro sound like?
Hay Perro plays quite loud indie rock that combines the Stooges' abrasiveness and the Pixies' slanted pop sense. They like their guitar riffs pummeling and employ harmonized guitar leads as necessary.

Where is Hay Perro from?
The band is from the decidedly unhip Chicago neighborhood of Rogers Park. They practice above an antique store.

Where can I see Hay Perro?
Hay Perro plays around Chicago regularly. They have been booked at both Ronny's and The Note as well as some slightly less prestigious venues.

What are my options for listening to Hay Perro in a non-live setting?
The recommended way is to pick up a copy of our debut EP, "A Stepper's Affair." There are also songs on the band's web site (www.hayperro.com) and inevitable MySpace page (www.myspace.com/hayperro).

What does Hay Perro do when they are not being Hay Perro?
One member is a computer programmer, one is a logistics manager, one writes press releases for the U.S. Department of Labor, and one works at Northwestern University's office of financial affairs. It's up to you to determine which is which.

The band also has a strong fondness for modestly-priced lagers and the Google corporation.

How often do people pick up that the band's name is Spanish?
About a quarter of the time. Of these, about half are able to translate the name properly on the first try.
