_______________
HEAD CLEANER is fresh, urban, multi-cultural; a new voice resonating in the world of contemporary acoustic music. It is also Mark Lineberry (lead vocals/guitar), Derek Reese (guitar/vocals), Gary Nieves (bass/vocals), and Asaf Shor (percussion/vocals).

Founder Mark Lineberry is a Philadelphia native. Although his main focus is on song writing and performing, he is also President/CEO of POSITRON MEDIA, a production/design firm based in New York City. His music, graphics, videos and web creations have circulated internationally via audio cd, television, advertising, corporate presentation and the world wide web.

Mark's vision was to form an acoustic band that would bring together varied musical styles and sensibilities to produce an upbeat and wholly original sound. He wanted the music to be organic enough to be played without electricity while reflecting the electric pace of modern city life. To put it in Mark's words: "We live in a world of micro-chips, genetic engineering and the 'Big Mac'. We're just making folk music that sounds like that. We call it, 'American Urban Acoustic'".

Joining Mark in this quest are three gifted performers who bring their own unique vision and sound to the group. Asaf, Israeli born, Gary, with his Puerto Rican roots, and Derek, from the heart of Brooklyn weave global textures into a music that is both joyous and reflective.

HEAD CLEANER has played for appreciative audiences from Maine to California, enchanting them with infectious charm and outstanding musicianship. Their self-titled debut CD, recorded for the Positron label, is arousing interest in the acoustic community as the group garners enthusiastic reviews both on air and in print. As WPKN's Richard Kaminsky puts it, "Fans of Ry Cooder and John Hiatt, rejoice... serious, witty, sensitive, moving... turn this CD on, and you won't let go. ...awesome!".
