Bio

Headlights Over Hills was formed in Clawson, MI during the summer of 2005 with the goal of creating high energy music with catchy guitar riffs and melodies. Some of our biggest influences consist of Thrice, The Used, Thursday, AFI, Modest Mouse, and Poison the Well.

The roots of our songwriting go as far back as the Beach Boys and the Beatles. We combine 4 part harmonies, (actually performed) orchestral and piano accompaniment, rhythm and lead guitars, strong moving drums, into our own unique rock/pop style. It is our goal to create music that evokes emotion and keeps people interested.

Within the last 6 years we have recorded 3 albums and have played many venues in the North Eastern United States. In the metro-detroit area we have played venues such as the Crofoot Ballroom, Emerald Theater, Eagle Theater, Hayloft, Magic Stick, Majestic Theater, Alvins, The Ritz, and Arts Beats and Eats.

One of our most recent accomplishment was winning the 101.1FM WRIF $10,000 Battle of the Bands. This gave us the chance to work with an acclaimed producer in a professional studio. With the release of our new EP in Summer of 2011, we plan to reach new audiences through touring and contemporary media.
