Sonia and Lindsey met in the North Pole while wrestling Polar Bears for candy canes. Neither of them could combat the stinky wet bears on their own but together they beat them all and soon were rolling in a lot of peppermint candy. While gorging on the delectable treats in a high class igloo the two of them made a pact – ‘when we get back home, we will meet up and start a band’ – and they did. Founded during the summer of 2005 in the GTA, a much warmer climate than the North Pole, Hearts Apart is Sonia and Lindsey - two energetic and very strong girls (Come on, they wrestled polar bears). They love to play live and on very special nights they will share stories about how they took the half ton bears by surprise. Because everyone today seems to tell tall tales, Hearts Apart believes that music may be the only form of communication one can trust. They believe in honest, compelling and emotional music with meaningful lyrics. Hearts Apart don’t mind breaking sweat to pursue their dreams and putting polar bears down for the count is only the beginning.
