Heather Ragnars is a singer-songwriter who plays soulful music inspired by folk, pop, blues, motown, and electro. As a child, she took classical piano and singing lessons hoping to perform on Broadway, but she discovered songwriting during her adolescence and didn't turn back.She usually performs solo, singing and playing piano.Her performances have been described as a combination of heartbreak and comedy.
Heather Ragnars is originally from Iceland but has lived in Montreal, where she currently resides, for many years. She most recently released a demo of ‘I Know I’m Bad’ on Youtube, a song which displays her love for 50's music. In 2016, she was named in the top 10 singer-songwriters in Montreal by Cult Magazine.
With her solo performances at the ‘Voix de Ville’ talent show at the Wiggle Room last winter, she landed in second place for seven weeks in a row. In August 2016, she hosted a show called 'Bitches Love Romance' at the same venue, where she was accompanied by a band, and the stunning Burlesque dancers of the Wiggle Room. She looks forward to hosting more shows of the same variety. Currently, she is recording a 5-song EP set to be released in 2017.
