Bio
Heather Ireland & Poplar Road are a group of talented musicians who love what they do and it is evident in each and every performance they give. They pride theirselves in covering songs that most bands wouldn't even want to attempt to do and they do it in their own way. They play songs ranging from country/rock to 80's & 90's rock. Heather and "the guys" don't take themselves too seriously...always cutting jokes and teasing one another. They are a family...with shared love and respect.
Meet The Members:
Heather Ireland is more than just "another pretty face" on the music scene. She offers powerful vocals that will take you through a wide array of emotions, forcing you to believe each and every lyric that escapes her lips. She is a firecracker, both on and off stage and knows how to relate well with her audience, no matter where she's playing. Heather is one hell of a songwriter and currently signed to a 4-song publishing deal with Tony Mantor of Plateau Music in Nashville, TN. Not only is she an incredible singer and writer, but she isn't too shabby on the rhythm guitar either. She IS the complete package. Her goal when forming this band was to take it to the top and that's what she continues to work towards.
Ronnie Avery knows how to relay his emotions through that guitar and say things that words could never express. Not only can he play the hell out of a guitar, but he has that classic rock voice that is as smooth as silk. He is an awesome writer and a true asset to the group of talent.
Chris Cranford is one of those bassists that will have your head bobbing to a song you don't even like. The former bass player for SuperMyth, he is the definite rocker of the group with his long hair and edgy look, but is versatile enough in his abilities to be able to convert to country when needed. He is amazing as both a person and a musician.
Bruce McCullough is a killer drummer from Tally who's personality and energy bleed through to his awesome tapping skills. He knows how to fancy it up when needed and he know's how to tone it down when needed. Former drummer for Sinister Nasty, amongst other well known local bands, he was the last member to join and therefore completing the puzzle that is "Heather Ireland & Poplar Road."
