“Only You” by Heather Jeanette

Heather Jeanette is a published singer/songwriter signed to Mixstar Publishing. She should be on your radar already, though you may only know her from her work and not her name. Her writing credits include “B.E.A.T.” by Selena Gomez, “Unbreakable” by Madison Beer, as well as co-production credits for works including “Don’t Wanna Go Home” by Jason Derulo and “Einstein” by Kelly Clarkson.

Anyway, she’s been hard at work with Serban Ghenea (Katy Perry, P!nk, Ke$ha, etc.), one of the most in demand sound mixers in the industry on her debut single “Only You” set to impact on November 11th. The single was co-written by Tim Roberts (Miley Cyrus, Forever The Sickest Kids). It was produced by Bryce Bordone.

She’s got a voice and a sound that is worthy of sharing with your listeners, plus she is humble when it comes to the power of radio. Jeanette says, “Radio is such an integral part of any musician’s career. With the continued support of radio, it will be possible for me reach so many more fans and take my song to the next level.” - Radio Info

"Heather Jeanette "Only You""

From the murky depths of my last feature, let’s lift off with soaring, sweeping, and luminous pop, courtesy of American singer songwriter Heather Jeanette. The published artist is talented when it comes to writing quality, beautiful pop songs. It’s no wonder that she’s a published singer songwriter, with credits on songs by heavy pop hitters like Selena Gomez, Kelly Clarkson, Jason Derulo, and Madison Beer. Her new single Only You is a synthy, endearing song with yodel like hooks that will grab hold of your heart and never let go. - iheartmoosiq

"Heather Jeanette"

Her sound combines rock, blues and heartbreak.

Heather Jeanette Miley has natural talent, but she wonders how she got it. "My dad has no musical talent. My mom has no musical talent. I honestly try to find out where it came from," she said.
For now, she just thanks her dad. He introduced her to Van Halen and Aerosmith before she was born. "My dad used to play music whenever I was in my mom's stomach. He wanted me to be a rock star....... Maybe it worked."

Musical Beginnings
Miley started piano lessons in the first grade and moved to the violin in fifth grade. She picked up the guitar in sixth grade. "Everyone was joking me because that was such a boy thing to do," she said.

Ready To Rock
Miley was a big hip-hop fan until she was 16. That's when higher ed prep courses at Berklee College of Music turned her on to rock. At the end of the five-week program, she performed her first rock cover- Pat Benatar's "Heartbreaker." A couple of years later, the Cox High grad went back to Berklee to study music business.

The Sound
Some locals compare Miley to Jewel, but she hates the comparison. She'd rather trade the girl guitarist stereotype for something more original like "rock with a little bit of blues."
Tales about love and heartbreak rank high on her set list. "Round" a ballad filled with lonely guitar licks, is an original about her ex. "Why are you so inconsistent? Why am I so unaware? Why we both just pass like strangers with feelings just stuck up in midair?" she sings, sounding defeated.
It's "basically about how everything didn't work and how he left my head spinning," she said.

Most Memorable Show
Miley's first local show, a CD release party at Scotty Quixx for her self-titled project, was her craziest gig. While she played, a fan came on stage and kissed her. "I didn't know what to do," she said. "I just kept playing."

On Her iPod
You'll find everything from jazz to hip-hop to heavy metal. "I don't put any boundaries on what I listen to."
