Written By: Heather Sullivan

come and lay down in the shade come and rest your weary bones don’t be afraid you are not alone we are just the same i will not falter i will not fail i won’t give up let love come down let it take us away let love come down let it take us away come and take me as i am cause it won’t matter in the end there is nothing to defend and everything that’s in and in between it’s no small wonder you’re right where you are just look up and let love come down let it take us away let love come down let it take us away i will not falter i will not fail i won’t give up let love come down let it take us away let love come down let it take us away

I Believe

Written By: Heather Sullivan

I'm not looking for a saviour
I don't speak in Tongues
& I don't see God
And I don’t believe in angels
Even Holy Men they have their flaws

But on the wind across the water
Or on a field of Clover
In the stars and in the your eyes
I believe

I can touch the light of Buddha
Meditate or even praise the Lord
But how can there be a heaven
When the Promised Land
Is still a place Of bloody war

So on the wind across the water
Or on a field of Clover
In the stars and in the eyes
I believe

Well I don’t believe in karma
I don’t pray for things that I don't deserve
And I've heard about Nirvana
But I've never seen a virgin birth

So on the wind across the water
Or on a field of Clover
In the clouds and in the skies
& In your eyes I believe

I believe in Love & I believe in you
I believe in these hands
I believe in truth
I believe in forgiveness
& I believe in trust
I believe there's a God in every single one of us

Know Not What I do

Written By: Heather Sullivan/Ron Alan Cohen

I know not what I do
Don’t want to ever have to say goodbye
I am afraid
I am a fool my hands are tied
I have my pride
I don't know whay
You say it's nothing new
I know not what I do

Borderlines and times
We build the walls that separate
And Make us choose our sides
And how we love and hate and propagate
The very thing that in the end
We know that we could lose
We know not what we do

And so we disagree
Agree to disagree
The life you save
may be your own
There are no guarantees, only third degrees, we only fear what we do not know

so can we just forgive
and just forget and
do we ever get beyond regret
and have we gone so far
we cannot turn around
there is no justice
if we’ re always black and blue
tell me what else can we do
if we’re gonna make it through

Stronger

Written By: Heather Sullivan/Ron Alan Cohen

Has the world gone wild
Does it seem a little colder
I’ve gone a thousand miles
And I feel a little older
But so much wiser

I have burned
And I have tried
I’ve made my way through the Dark
Lighting candles
Sometimes I’ve cried
But I am stronger now
A little stronger now

And If I still have a heart
I will love a little harder
And if it all falls apart
I will dig a little deeper
Move a little closer

Because I’ve yearned
To be free
From the chains that have bound me
I’ve been tangled
Now I believe
That I am stronger now
A little stronger now
Because I’ve burned

Takin' Me Home

Written By: Heather Sullivan/Ron Alan Cohen

there’s a dotted line in the mirror
the radio plays in my head
the end of the road getting nearer
a place to rest up ahead
taking me home taking me home

and the clock on the dashboard
it’s running the faster and faster i go and the lines
they just don’t mean nothing
all the years just a stone’s throw taking me home taking me home

there’s a neon sign at the corner
the lights they are flashing bright red and the man stops me at the border says i gotta do like he says if i wanna go home if i wanna go home

so i let the wind rush
through my window
and i let it all mess up my hair
cause as long as i’m taking
the long way
i might as well go where i dare
on my way home i want to go home

Do That For Me

Written By: heather Sullivan/Ron Alan Cohen

Would You Do That for Me

I know it’s not for you to please me
I can stand on my own
I don’t need you to save me
I just need to know

When I’m afraid
Will you be the light
And when I am weak
Will you be by my side
And when I soar, will you raise me up
Will you put on my crown
Would you do that for me

Oh I know I’m not easy
And hard to understand
But I need you to remind me
Of just who I am

And when I lose hope
Will you show me your faith
And when I feel close
Will you give me your space
And when I'm lost, will you find me a home
Will you give us a ground
Would you do that for me

Better Place

Written By: Heather Sullivan/Ron Alan Cohen

Another night, another cold one
We pass by and we don't care
On the sidewalk he is sleeping
He is dreaming of a better place

Sometimes he walks sometimes he treads
Sometimes he talks sometimes he begs
And all he really wants
Is just a warm soft bed
To rest his head

Nowhere to stop
Nowhere to stay
He get by and then he'll drift away
He's got a blanket the edges torn
He was born in a better place

Sometimes he walks sometimes he treads
Sometimes he talks sometimes he begs
And all he really wants
Is just a warm soft bed
To rest his head

And hell leave no trace
Someone else's sunburned face
Do you ever see yourself

Somebody's father
Somebody's son
He'll move on
To a better place

My Deepest Part

Written By: Heather Sullivan

You said to me
You were on a mission
You said to me
You found religion
You gave to me
What I thought was your heart
I gave you my faith
& my deepest part

You said to me
I was your lover
You laid on me
& so many others
Well I am blinded
In this barren dark
Naked and missing
My deepest part

Well I won't cry for you
& I won't die for you
Take away the rain
Take away the pain
Take away the scars
But give me back my heart
Just give me back my heart

You said to me
"The roses are red"
You said to me
"The love is dead"
I gave to you
What was left of my heart
You took away forever
My deepest part

takin' me Home

Takin’ Me Home/Guitar

Blue Water

Written By: Sullivan/Cohen

blue water

blue water by the bay
you’ll wash it all away
i’ve been to sensitive
it’s me you must forgive

blue water take away
the pain of yesterday
i’m standing on the edge
some things are best unsaid

come down leave it all behind
slow down i’ll make it up to you
what i didn’t do
what i should have done

blue water by the bay
just wanna drift away
i’d swim but i don’t know how
you can save me now
