Bio

Helen Destroy started off her drumming career with a bang! In utter defiance of her band instructor's proposal of playing the flute, she suggested a slightly more intense instrument: the drums. Her individual style and confidence immediately impressed those around her. They knew she was a force to be reckoned with and respectfully treated her as such.

Fast forward 8 years and many bands later... Helen got her professional start at age 18, playing with NYC's all female punk band, The Lunachicks. They did Warped Tour in '00, 5 tours of the USA, 1 tour of Europe, and a month long tour of Australia. During Warped Tour, Helen got the chance to showcase her drumming skills sitting in with fellow headliners NOFX and Papa Roach.

Currently, Helen is in the driver's seat playing drums for, LEZ ZEPPELIN - All Girls, All Zeppelin. The band has done extensive touring of the US and Europe, and will continue in support of their upcoming self-titled, debut album. "Lez Zeppelin" was produced by legendary Led Zeppelin engineer, Eddie Kramer, and recorded at the world famous Electric Lady Studios in NYC. The album accurately captures Helen's uncanny ability to (duplicate) John Bonham's style and feel. Fans of the band often remark on how authentic an interpretation of his drumming she lends to the songs.

With all that lies in store for Lez Zeppelin, Helen Destroy is "looking forward to a long and satisfying career with this project." To round out her aspirations, Helen intends to work as a studio and live drummer, utilizing all of her collective experiences and making Helen Destroy synonymous with versatility, professionalism, and kick ass playing!
