Hello Bear are a quirky pop-rock band from Norwich. The band have already gained a reputation for energetic live performances through gigs up and down the country. Taking influence from Los Campesinos and Weezer, Hello Bear have developed a catchy sound that always leaves audiences wanting more.

Biography

Hello Bear was originally born in 2009 as a solo project of Luke Fox. Due to industry interest Luke recruited Daryl and Tom to complete the line-up and progress further.

In the short time the band have been together they have already toured the UK, won the prestigious Next Big Thing competition (Ed Sheeran, The Kabeedies) and had their promotional video for their last single featured on a new tablet device called The AndyPad.

Hello Bear’s music has been likened to that of Weezer, Los Campesinos and Pavement. Their own blend of catchy pop rock has received airplay from the likes of BBC Introducing, Steve Lamacq (6 Music) and award winning student radio station Radio Sonar.

One of the bands traits includes their energetic live performances. They have developed an impressive live profile, locally and nationally, which is constantly expanding. Some of their recent shows include Liverpool Sound City, a headline slot at 93 Feet East, and festival appearances with Darwin Deez and The Futureheads.

Ultimately the band aims to gain a sincere audience with their music. They write music not only for others to enjoy but relate to as well.

With another UK tour on the horizon and their first full length planned for next year, 2012 really is the year of the ‘Bear.
