Bio

Hello Mexico are an ambient rock band from London, fronted by Myles Pereira. Completed by guitarists Nick Calafato and John Martinelli, drummer Oliver Rae, bassist Jon Goldthorpe and pianist/vocalist Gulli Gunnarsson, the band have released three EPs and one single to date.

Hello Mexico recorded their debut EP ‘I Am The River’ at Outhouse Studios in October 2009. The EP was a digital-only release and featured an old line-up containing Luke Welch as vocalist.

The band then spent the next five months writing and chose three new songs to record in March 2010 with Dan Lancaster. These songs made up the release ‘Five Twenty Seven’. The new songs showcased a much more experimental and progressive edge, choosing to lose the aggressive nature of their previous material in place of a more restrained, melodic and delicate approach. The three songs were released digitally and physically in June 2010.

A release of a digital single, ‘Sleeper’, then followed in October 2010. Nick Brown left in January of 2011 and Myles Pereira joined as lead vocalist and Jonathan Goldthorpe joined on Bass.

At the end of May 2011, Hello Mexico released their five track self-titled EP as a free download.
