Bio

I grew up listening to The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd etc., pretty much anything my parents had in their old record collection. I would take out all of the old vinyl and explore a new record whenever I got the chance. This led to an undying urge to play music and try to manipulate chords and melodies to replicate Paul McCartney, or Billy Joel or who ever was sparking my interest at that time. As the years went on, I wanted to find my own music my own sound, my own voice. I started listening to The Descendents at a very young age and soon found myself writing 3 chord songs and trying to jam as much melody into those three chords as possible. So it was strange when I recorded my first real record with Bill Stevenson of The Descendents. It was an amazing experience and I learned so much from him and his years of experience. Late into my teens I began getting back into what I grew up on. I started revisiting "Sgt. Pepper" and "Dark Side Of The Moon" just to name a few. I found myself once again back into this music so deep that there was no turning back. Except this time I was buying books about their lives and buying anything I could get my hands on, literally. If it said The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan or simply "The 60's" I bought it. This transformation back into the eager child I was once with music has once again opened a new adventure in music and has forced me to explore so deep into their amazing world that I feel sometimes as though I am living in the wrong time period. Of course everytime I say "I wish I lived in the 1960's" My Dad simply responds with "no you dont, because then you would be old." Ha, true but I would feel like I was living for something and moving towards something. So in conclusion, after all of these years of transformation I feel as though I am on a journey that has barely even started. I feel as though I am exploring this over grown forest that once sat a beautiful city and behind ever branch there is a story and under ever step there are signs of life before me. And if I look hard enough maybe, just maybe I can bring a glimmer of hope back to those who once resided here. It's hard to think that the dream might be over and the manufacturers might be the ones who will continue to run the world of music. But as long as there is at least a speck of hope, I will continue to push forward and try to bring some sort of hope into an oversaturated world.
