"Hellrazor seems firmly entrenched in old heavy metal cicra The New Wave of British Heavy Metal."

Hellrazor seems firmly entrenched in old heavy metal cicra The New Wave of British Heavy Metal. Lots of flashy guitar and occasional gang vocals. A few years ago, the Vancouver band's approach would've been called dated but now sounds fresh - Tom Harrison - Vancouver Province Paper

"Hellrazor has all the earmarks of what made those bands great"

Hellrazor's "Feel the Sting" is a welcome journey back to the day when metal bands like W.A.S.P., Motley Crue and Judas Priest were all the rage on the radio and in concert halls. Hellrazor has all the earmarks of what made those bands great: Singable choruses, driving rhythms, melodic guitars and lots of fiery lead guitar. Anybody who's a fan of the above-listed bands or any other bands of their ilk will find something to like here. From the Blackie Lawless eeriness of "All of Your Love" to the Crue attitude of "Bad Blood" to the irresistible, Warrant-like chorus of "Who Needs You", "Feel the Sting" is a great record for those who don't think they make great hard music like they used to. Overall, Hellrazor's "Feel the Sting" is a kick ass CD throughout. - Scott Bolton - Rough Edge Magazine

"Vancouver band Hellrazor’s music writing team is an awesome combination"

As they say, "bad blood's here to stay!" Judging by their debut album, “Feel the Sting,” local Vancouver band Hellrazor’s music writing team is an awesome combination. Bassist Kasey Haze wrote the music along with fellow bandmate and lead guitarist T.C. Davidson. Also, most of the lyrics are written by Haze alone, with the exception of three, which were co-written with the band’s lead vocalist Danny E Rail. The lyrics that Kasey has written give an amazing sense of imagery, like in “Who Needs You,” especially in the first verse where he is talking about moving to the city and what he’s carrying; the same goes for “Guilty As Charged.” To call Hellrazor a metal band is a stretch, but to some people they could be categorized as such. With music filled with energy they make for a good, Saturday-night listen. If you’re a hard rock fan, take a listen to this album; it’ll be good for ya! Andrea’s fave track: “Who Needs You” - Andrea Jones – Enver Creek, Surrey Music

"Hellrazor seems to be blazing their own trail here"

Hellrazor is a Canadian band that is trying to push their way up the melodic rock heap. The group is actually pretty unique, they have a crisp guitar sound with just the right amount of crunch, some furiously fast drumming and some dreamy vocals. Musically the band isn't thrash, but has a few of those elements mixed into their melodic delivery. They have the clear sound, precision playing of normal melodic bands, but just seem faster and more aggressive then most. For a new band they have crafted some interesting melodies and delivered a top-notch production. I'm not even sure who I could compare them to, Hellrazor seems to be blazing their own trail here. Feel The Sting is going to be one of those albums that will grow on you over time, its already starting to do that to me. For once a band is trying to be unique without being shitty at the same time - Skid - Sleaze Roxx Magazine

"I welcome you to the realms of Hellrazor because they are pretty damn good!"

The name of the band is Hellrazor and there aren't that many bands out there making this kind of music, at least sharing the kind of passion and commitment these guys apparently seem to show with their music. The music itself is quite catchy, and will keep on eachoing in your head after you stop listening to it. I welcome you to the realms of Hellrazor because they are pretty damn good! - Crepusculo - metal-march

"Hellrazor are clearly going for the classic late seventies/early eighties melodic metal sound"

Hellrazor are clearly going for the classic late seventies/early eighties melodic metal sound. I would guess these guys are fans of the early Ozzy solo albums, Y & T, early Dokken, UFO, Scorpions, and the like, with a bit of a nod to heavier stuff like Priest and Maiden. Musically Hellrazor would fit in pretty well with that crop of bands. These guys have the chops, and they come up with some killer riffs. - Bob Ignizio - Utter Trash

"HELLRAZOR is all about having a good old time fashioned Rock and Roll sound for the people who are longing back to the classic days"

Canadian band with a true back-to-the-1980s-LA Sunset Strip-Hair Metal meets Melodic Hardrocksound that reminds one of classic DOKKEN, SLYBOYZ, STRYPER, Y&T, WASP, SCORPIONS… 9 songs are included on their debut CD and it really sounds quite excellent, especially during uptempo songs like “Too much is never enuff”, “Feel the sting”, “Who needs you” (classic 80s guitar riffs) and “Child gone wild”, with it’s twin-guitars, catchy hooks and memorable choruses, truly winners for fans of mentioned bands. No modern influences at all, because HELLRAZOR is all about having a good old time fashioned Rock and Rollsound for the people who are longing back to the classic days of STRYPER, WHITE LION, FIREHOUSE, DANGER DANGER, SLAUGHTER, etc. topping the US Charts, only this band is from Canada, Vancouver to be exact and you can check them out for more info at www.hellrazorband.com and www.myspace.com/hellrazorband - http://www.angelfire.com/planet/strutter/HOTNEWREVIEWS.htm

"This is a rare brand of hard rock that has been tried by many and only mastered by a few. Hellrazor are on the right path to be masters of their genre."

This is a rare brand of hard rock that has been tried by many and only mastered by a few. With 'Feel The Sting', Hellrazor are on the right path to be masters of their genre. "With epic songs, mind-numbing hooks, and unforgettable melodies, Hellrazor's hits will haunt you." And how very true that statement is. Very catchy, memorable songs that have you singing along with them instantly. Their sound is that of the utmost catchyness of a mildly sleazy sounding rock-n-roll. Very infectious riffs and choruses. So beware and be prepared to enjoy - John Haseltine - Ballbuster Magazine

Bio

Hellrazor is a four-piece band hailing from Vancouver BC Canada. They play a unique, innovative and uncompromising mix of hard-rock and metal, inspired by the arena rock greats of the 70 and 80's. Groups such as Judas Priest, The Scorpions, Def Leppard, and Warlock instantly come to mind. Hellrazor plays "a rare brand of hard rock that has been tried by many and only mastered by a few" and has "very catchy, memorable songs that have you singing along with them instantly" -John Haseltine -Ballbuster Magazine

At present the group is re-releasing their debut album "Feel The Sting" this summer, and featured here is the single "Never Too Late", a song that explores Hellrazor's softer side and is proof that a stripped-down, soulful ballad is every bit as powerful as a wall of Marshalls.

Hellrazor is an exceptional group with great potential because their edgy-yet "commercial" sound has great cross-over appeal, and many different kinds of fans will be able to grasp and appreciate the band. Despite some turmoil within the last few years the group has worked diligently on honing their craft and are a very dedicated group of musicians. Hellrazor is a group primed and ready to defy and win-over the critics and naysayers with their carefully crafted and powerful music.

To their credit Hellrazor has built a strong reputation for putting on spectacular live performances and is building up a cult-like following wherever they play. Hellrazor has performed at many of the highly coveted rock venues in Vancouver, including performing at The Roxy, Richards on Richards and The Plaza. Last summer the group also went on and had a successful 16,000km Western Canadian tour, all without the help of a record label or management support.

Individual tracks from Hellrazor's debut "Feel The Sting" will again become available for purchase on 45 digital distribution sites such as Apple iTunes and Napster, and the entire album will also be able to be ordered at over 1600 record stores throughout Canada and the United States. Look for Hellrazor to be featured in an upcoming issue of "Metal Maniacs" and for their inclusion on the newly released compilation album of up and coming hard rock bands called "Strip Club Rock Vol.1". Hellrazor will be heard alongside the likes of current and former members of Ratt, Guns N' Roses, MC5, Aerosmith, Quiet Riot, Adler's Appetite, L.A. Guns, Rough Cutt and Dangerous Toys.

Lastly, since February 21, 2006, Hellrazor's www.myspace.com/hellrazorband page has received over 130,000 profile views and 140,000 total song plays and these figures continue to grow. Hellrazor's 2006 release "Feel The Sting" was also in a list of the best albums released in 2006! Hellrazor ranked in the top ten next to Def Leppard's - Yeah!, Godsmack's - IV and Poison's - The Best Of Poison: 20 Years Of Rock.
