Bio

Hell Ridces North is not a name that was thrown together without a thought process behind it. The name is in reference to the corruption that seems to be blanketing not just our cities, but our airwaves as well. This latter point is what sets us beyond other artists that you typically hear. hRn provides an alternative to the music that, in our opinion has poisoned not just our radios, but our culture as well. However, the name that we have taken pride in has also gotten us into trouble. Promoters of a show at the Emerald Theatre, Mt. Clemens, MI, thought the name was something satanic. After barring us from future events due to this reasoning, they quickly found out that we truly were not a band dedicated to the devil, but a band that was dedicated to a different goal- ..... We now have gigs at The Emerald on a regular basis.
In the beginning, the band had trouble figuring out the right formula. For instance, frontman Ryan Arini arrived at the audition not to sing, but to play bass. After a very Short time he was told that he wasn't what we were looking for. Fortunately, we discovered his vocal talent, and he discovered his place in the band.
Matt Lewis, guitarist, along with Vince Bomarito, bassist, formed the band back in 2000; the writing process came easy to them as they had several songs written before the band was complete. They auditioned several drummers including one only known as Martino. Unforunately this Martino lost his green card; thus, his place in the band was also lost. After this disappointing loss they looked a little closer to home for their next (now permanent drummer) DMF.
With the last position filled the band has played many gigs over the past several gigs. TNT'S has been somewhat of a home for the band as we have played there regularly since 2003. The band agrees that the reason they are asked to play at these venues is the melodic-metal rock that we put out.
