Hendrick is what Brit-Rock sounds like, when it comes from Dallas, Texas. Mix in the dynamics of bands like Sigur Ros, with the wall of sound of Mono (from Japan), the pop sensibility of Coldplay, and the silkiness of Jeff Buckley and Rufus Wainwright, and you're listening to Hendrick.

London via Dallas, Texas.

Formed out of Josh Hendrick's solo project, and is now 2 albums & 1 EP into their recording days as "Hendrick".

"Exhale", the new album, has been 2 and a half years in the making. It's full of sweeping epics, with a few short & sweet pop songs thrown in, to boot.

Hendrick has come to a point of collaboration, where songs have become huge ("Echo and the Pass"), yet innovation in pop still shines through ("City Lights"). The new album has recently taken Hendrick to TV (Fox's Good Day program here in Dallas), had 5 of its 11 songs played on Dallas radio (102.1 The Edge Local Show, 91.7 KXT, and 88.1 KNTU), allowed for a packed house at the CD release in the Granada Theater, here in Dallas, and has opened many doors in local media (print, too). Hendrick has been direct support, opening for The Polyphonic Spree, Flickerstick, Ian Moore, Jonathan Tyler & the Northern Lights, and Green River Ordinance.

The sound has been compared to Coldplay, Rufus Wainwright, Elbow, Jeff Buckley, and Sigur Ros.

Set List

Our 45 min. set could look like this:
"All I Wanted"
"City Lights"
"Black & White World"
"Fit to Be Lonely"
"There He Was"
"...And Again"
"Echo and the Pass"

We often headline here in Dallas, and can easily play over an hour.

As far as covers, we tend to not repeat too many. Occasionally we do "Idioteque" by Radiohead, and Josh will do various R&B covers acoustically, such as "Like a Star" by Corrine Bailey Rae or "Ordinary People" by John Legend.
