I think I’ve heard the music for the New Millennium; it’s from Henry Iglesias and the Now and it’s the CD “3 Billion Seconds”.
Iglesias and his band have created an innovative synthesis of musical genres, which results in a truly unique, upbeat, and captivating sound. The inspired singing and songwriting of Henry Iglesias is a combination of sophisticated Rock, soulful Ballads, and R & B with Latin variations in which Iglesias truly defines his own style. The album simply makes you want to listen.
Iglesias exudes a real likeability, a truthfulness in his lyrics that burns through your psyche in virtually every song. The CD takes you on an eclectic journey of rhythms and themes unlike any I have heard in quite some time. The brilliant guitar workings of James Lum are reminiscent of Clapton, or Stevie Ray Vaughn. The musical and lyrical mastery of Iglesias left me wanting to hear more from this singer/songwriter. This is music from the heart, music for the conscious, and I truly believe a groundbreaking artist for the new Millennium!

This is a masterpiece! Henry shows all the class and quality that is germane to all the musical greats... Sting, Don Henley, Peter Gabriel...
Watch out! Henry blesses us with some of the most intelligent lyrics, not only showing thought and substance, but also a wonderful sensitivity that can only come from someone who knows, someone who has been there. When I listen to this CD, I feel as if it was written for me. I am sure you will feel the same way.
The biggest problem I have had with writing this review is narrowing down to just two songs for you to listen to. I can honestly say there is a plethora of wonderful music to treat your ears better than they have been treated in a long time, and all on this CD. Henry has incorporated some of the finer players in Los Angeles to make this CD, and everyone involved shines bright enough to put on your shades.
P.S... Three billion seconds is 99 years...
I guarantee this CD personally.

Henry Iglesias is arguably one of the best English or Spanish Singer/Songwriters today. His music is a perfect reflection of both his American and Latino upbringings, and if you’ve ever seen him in live performance, he is a powerful and captivating presence, able to switch vocal and song styles with an incredible array of unforgettable original material.
Born in Mexico and brought up in Los Angeles, The Iglesias family, once again introduces another great new talent into show business. Henry is the third cousin of the famous Julio and the son of legendary Latino pioneers of Television and Radio, Roberto and Helena Iglesias.
In his debut Spanish CD “Mis Raices” (which means, my roots) Iglesias explores and experiments with styles such as blues, reggae, rock salsa, tender ballads and even classical music.
Henrys lyrics are passionate, clever and complex. the music is eclectic fresh and without borders and his singing voice can truly “bring it” with the Rock, Soul or smooth romance.
Henry is also an amazing instrumentalist on guitar, piano or harmonica.
And with his band of world class players James (El Jam) Lum on guitars and bass, Gabriel Santana Falcon on drums and percussion, Andrew Weiner on the keyboards. and Grecco Burrato on acoustic guitar. the results are Grammy level performances and production.
Henry Iglesias debut English CD “3 billion seconds” was reviewed as a masterpiece. It would appear his second CD “Mis Raices” is on the same path.
