Canadian Hip Hop artist HERB studied people, lifestyles and most of all music during his childhood. Seeing the world through his own lens, his songs showcase his life as it unfolds.   Influenced by street based genres of music, extensive travel as a child growing up in a military family and some hard living, Herb is a unique artist who follows his passion and makes music that evokes his own voice.   He fuses his creative process with sticking to his goal of staying honest and true to what he knows. His songs have that raw edge you hear in much of the hip hop genre but also take you on a journey into his world. Listen to the message in the lyrics. 

Musically Herbs beats reside in a contained range. The more detailed aspect of his music is the lyrics which are repetitive at the same time haunting.

Herb is a songwriter, a rebel and an indie warrior who simply uses song to express, communicate and at the same time entertain. His chief influences include Nas, Wu-tang, Rasskass, to name a few but there are many more...
