"Here Comes the Cavalry – “To The Ends of the World"

Here Comes the Cavalry is a band that has come out of the local scene shadows pretty well, spreading their wings into what could become a future of notoriety and label signings. Holding a voice that is very similar to the harmony and power of Amy Lee of Evanescence, this band has the potential to reach places that some other locals may not have the ability to.

Let’s break down some of the band’s elements. The cavalry is sure called in when it comes to the pop-enforced bass chugs that inhibit themselves in the backline of the song, giving it a slightly heavier taste along the lines of their genre-identification of pop rock. When it comes down to it, the opening piano harmony does in fact shape the surroundings of the song as more serene than anything else. While focusing specifically on the aspect of guitars, they also hold pop elements that are surprisingly not shitty and overused, so kudos to that. It’s just frustrating that all the bass does in this song is fucking chug.

In contrary to popular belief and thoughts of individuals I showed this song to as I was reviewing it, I actually liked the drum track. Although they do overpower the other instruments in some of the song, there is almost as aspect of reverence here. In order to keep up with what we know as the majority of the underground scene, a band needs to incorporate something that will bring in fans of different music taste, such as the “hardcore” scene of Perth. This track definitely is able to cover that small amount of needed heaviness to get their name around without it being in a negative way.
The lyrics surprised me to the caliber that I never really see lyrics here that are good in the slightest. They do have their dry points, but have what’s needed to not totally suck. While keeping up the positivity aspect, the quality of the song is done pretty well; can’t really complain about the mix too much.
Bottom line is this band is worth checking out. The intro is pretty slow if you aren’t into just piano and vocals, but I promise the song does pick up and does pack a decent sucker punch from the unexpected depths of Perth. - I PROBABLY HATE YOUR BAND

Their smash hit 'To the Ends of the World', which is steadily climbing the World Music Video Chart caught the eyes and ears of the BEAT100 A&R team after winning 3 Gold Awards. The band's chart climbing track 'To the Ends of the World' is our own sneak peak into the brand new 6 track EP. With ethereal lyrics and fearless hard hitting beats, the track is perfectly highlighted by the strong vocals of lead singer Paige Silvi. Reflecting on the meaning of the song, the band tell us that it is an exploration of true love and how every time a person falls in love, it changes a bit of themselves.
