"HCTLG"

Good-time Deep-down and Dirty. Eamon McCann, Belfast telegraph - Belfast Telegraph

"Unashamedly filfthy"

Here Comes the Landed Gentry are here to shake and rile us once
more. Well aware that youth is no longer on their side, they're a band
for well travelled whiskey connoisseurs, not afraid of a sleazy,
old-skool sea shanty. With a few low flying Derry accents ricocheting
around the venue, they're the Birthday Party, if Nick Cave had been
born in Altnagelvin. Unashamedly filthy. BBC Northern Ireland, ATL
- BBC NI ATL

"Going it their own way"

The best thing about Here Comes The Landed Gentry is that they’ve
realised the value of going their own way. They love what they do and
it shines through in every song here. This band are so obviously not
interested in being part of any media-approved scene or trend and are
therefore instantly a much more interesting prospect. Musical mavericks
rejoice! David Roy, Irish News
- Irish News

"On top"

Rock'n'Roll Punk Cowboys! The most talked about band in town at the minute.
Julie-Anne Campbell, Derry Journal
- Derry Journal

"Live at the Cellar Bar"

Bathed in demonic black and red rays, Here Comes The Landed Gentry
begin their mammoth session like a pride of lions who've just caught their
dinner. A powerhouse of talent effortlessly mixing a unique blend of blues
and country under a rock and roll moniker. Niall Kerr, Mid Ulster Mail
- Mid Ulster News

"Introducing.....HCTLG"

The loudest and most energetic session this year, Brilliant!
Rory McConnell, Radio1 introducing
- BBC Radio 1

"Riping it up"

Derry’s foremost musical outlaws, Here Comes The Landed Gentry deliver a
stunning mix of bittersweet, whiskey-soaked odes and good-time stompers.
Their songs mine the rich seams of classic country, blues, punk and rockabilly
to create truly alchemical sounds. Oh, and their live show is pretty special too.

Bio
Here Comes The Landed Gentry appeared on the scene late 07/early08 when ex members of The Subtitles, Red Organ Serpent Sound and Fighting With Wire joined forces on a rock’n’roll mission with two things in mind… to write great songs and perform mind blowing shows!
The recording of their first critically acclaimed 7 song live demonstration resulted in local and national air play with the anthemic Lead Belly placing the boys firmly on the map. After winning The Roaring Meg All Ireland Busking Festival they bought a beat out white van (Big Al) and gigged extensively the length and breadth of Ireland gracing the stage with acts such as The Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Undertones, The Urban Voodoo Machine, Black Diamond Heavies, The Jim Jones Revue and The Mighty Stef.
As HCTLG went from strength to strength they recorded a number of live sessions for the BBC’s Radio 1 Introducing, Across the Line and Electric Mainline shows and played a headline slot at Ireland's largest independent festival, Glasgowbury, which was a personal highlight for the boys.
At the end of 09 they performed their 1st English gigs, the legendary Gypsy Ball at Barden’s Boudoir being the stand out show!
Their second 7 song E.P. Here Comes The Landed Gentry Vol.2 was released as a free digital download from their website www.herecomesthelandedgentry.com on a song per month basis.
Plans for 2010? Record their debut live album/DVD in front of an audience and a studio album to follow!! It’s going to be their biggest year yet!!
Here Comes The Landed Gentry are a sweaty bad ass rock’n’roll band fusing together old school blues, punk rock, rockabilly, alt country and classic rock like no other! Their live shows are legendary and they are currently reeking havoc throughout Ireland and beyond. Catch them while you can before they explode!!!
