HERO: Its time to introduce you to the sound and the movement. HERO is the long-awaited collaboration from acclaimed artist/producer Darp Malone and word wizard E-DOT. As the finishing touches are masterfully placed on their debut album Salvation Army, its finally safe to say the long wait is over.
In 1993 Darp Malone first came on the scene with the group The Maximum Definitive. That year, they were nominated for a Juno Award and won a Much Music Video Award for the video Jungle Man. For over a decade, Darp Malone has been behind the boards producing artists such as Mr. Complex, Ivanna Sintilli, Reign, Natasha Waterman and Moses Thievery to name a few.
E-Dot originally hails from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, but quickly became an underground menace in Brooklyn getting to work and touring the US and Europe with some of the greatest MCs in the world, sharing the stage with The Wu Tang Clan , Ice-T, The Pharcyde, and many others. In the last 3 years, E-dot has released four 12 singles on Uncle Howie Records. Most notably, his music can be heard in the Nicholas Cage/Angelina Jolie action blockbuster Gone in 60 Seconds, and in the first week of 2004, his single My All hit #1 on the CMJ charts.
