Hibernation Index was a concept put together by Mark Shepard starting August of 2010.After Stillborn Robot was put in the shelf while Mark was waiting on his first child he was hit up about putting together a more straight forward Hard Alt Rock project. To separate themselves from the mainstream Hibernation Index put together a project that was heavy and true to itself without having to be geared… only towards radio singles. Mark utilized his resources and found members from previous endeavors and through friends and stumbled upon a perfect combination. Matt Cutting from Rue on lead guitar, Dylan Roderick from Out of Grey/ Satyr/ and Downstem on Bass. Chris Wakelin from Stillborn Robot/ Good King Friday/ and Pug Fuglys on drums. Mark was originally the rhythm guitarist but after losing the original singer Mark decided to try out the role for size. Hibernation Index has currently recorded their first EP “Delaying the Inevitalbe” in Spring of 2011 with Chris Collier. The band looks forward to releasing a full length by the end of the year and showcasing their material to spread the word.
